Images in Alton Towers Advert The images used in the Alton Towers Advert are extremely colourful and attractive to the eye. The images of the rides, together with objects connected to Halloween gives the audience a sense of what to expect if we visit Alton Towers. In the foreground, we see bright colours, such as green and yellow which draws the reader in. These colours, together with the background, which is of the dark, misty sky makes the audience feel scared but want to know what an experience at Alton Towers might be like. The caption is important as it highlights when the theme park will be open, so that the audience can spend their money.

E – The background uses twilight colours, like black and blue to show the sky with images of stars dotted around the background.E – The connotations of dark colours suggest that something horrific and ominous is going to happen. However, the stars glowing in the background may also suggest that there is a shining light on Alton Towers, and that we should visit.
