Pastor’s Notes: The Lord continues to move in our services!!!!!!! If you have not been here in the last 3 weeks, YOU HAVE MISSED IT! While worship is going forth, the Lord is coming down and moving among His people. How refreshing, how wonderful, how glorious! There seems to be a common word that I remember from the last 3 weeks as the Holy Ghost speaks to us…..”willing”. He has told us repeatedly that He is willing. He is willing to meet with us. He is willing to comfort us. He is willing to heal us. He is willing to do exactly what He promised. BUT HE IS WAITING ON US! He is waiting on us to worship Him and not hold anything back. He is waiting on us to make sure that we are completely free from any bondage. He is waiting on us to make sure that we have ridded ourselves of all sin. He is waiting on us to make sure that we love Him with everything within us. I believe the Lord is saying to us HE IS TIRED OF WAITING. He is willing, ready and able to do what we need Him to do. I am ready for everything He has for me and for us. Are you? SERMON RECAP: Sunday night I gave a very simple word. It was purposefully simplistic. There are times when we go through times of struggle, discouragement, and trials. I have found in those times, it is hard for me to grasp too much information. The simple things stick in my mind until I reach a place that I am able to fully process it. If you are going through one of those rough places, then there are 3 simple things you need to remember: 1) Remember who you are! If you are saved, then you are a blood bought, child of the living God. I Cor. 6:20 says you were bought with a price. Gal. 4:7 says you are a son and heir of God. You are somebody. 2) Remember whose you are. If you know who you are, then you must recognize the controller and authority of your life. Ps. 17:8 says I am the apple of God’s eye. 2 Cor. 6: 18 says that God is my Father. I know whose I am! 3) Remember where you are going! As an heir, I have rights to an inheritance. Jesus said that He was going away to prepare a place but would come again and take me to that place where we could be together for all eternity. That place is called heaven. An though there may be naysayers who do not believe, JESUS SAID IT AND HE CANNOT LIE! He is coming to take us home. I am going to heaven. So when you are going through tough times, remember the WHO, WHOSE and WHERE of your relationship with God and your faith will sustain you through those times. BE BLESSED!!!!! Please be in prayer for those leaving Saturday on the Missions Trip to Jamaica. There are 21 going to represent first of all, Jesus Christ. Second of all, they are representing Woodruff Church of God. What an awesome opportunity to put the Great Commission into full practice! Woodruff Church of God e-Edition Newsletter July 8, 2014

Pastor’s Notes:

The Lord continues to move in

our services!!!!!!! If you have

not been here in the last 3

weeks, YOU HAVE MISSED IT! While

worship is going forth, the Lord is coming down and moving among His people. How

refreshing, how wonderful, how glorious! There seems to be a common word that I remember

from the last 3 weeks as the Holy Ghost speaks to us…..”willing”. He has told us repeatedly that

He is willing. He is willing to meet with us. He is willing to comfort us. He is willing to heal

us. He is willing to do exactly what He promised. BUT HE IS WAITING ON US! He is

waiting on us to worship Him and not hold anything back. He is waiting on us to make sure that

we are completely free from any bondage. He is waiting on us to make sure that we have ridded

ourselves of all sin. He is waiting on us to make sure that we love Him with everything within

us. I believe the Lord is saying to us HE IS TIRED OF WAITING. He is willing, ready and

able to do what we need Him to do. I am ready for everything He has for me and for us. Are

you?

SERMON RECAP: Sunday night I gave a very simple word. It was purposefully simplistic.

There are times when we go through times of struggle, discouragement, and trials. I have found

in those times, it is hard for me to grasp too much information. The simple things stick in my

mind until I reach a place that I am able to fully process it. If you are going through one of those

rough places, then there are 3 simple things you need to remember: 1) Remember who you are!

If you are saved, then you are a blood bought, child of the living God. I Cor. 6:20 says you were

bought with a price. Gal. 4:7 says you are a son and heir of God. You are somebody.

2) Remember whose you are. If you know who you are, then you must recognize the

controller and authority of your life. Ps. 17:8 says I am the apple of God’s eye. 2 Cor. 6:18 says

that God is my Father. I know whose I am! 3) Remember where you are going! As an heir, I

have rights to an inheritance. Jesus said that He was going away to prepare a place but would

come again and take me to that place where we could be together for all eternity. That place is

called heaven. An though there may be naysayers who do not believe, JESUS SAID IT AND

HE CANNOT LIE! He is coming to take us home. I am going to heaven.

So when you are going through tough times, remember the WHO, WHOSE and WHERE of your

relationship with God and your faith will sustain you through those times. BE BLESSED!!!!!

Please be in prayer for those leaving Saturday on the Missions Trip to Jamaica. There are

21 going to represent first of all, Jesus Christ. Second of all, they are representing Woodruff

Church of God. What an awesome opportunity to put the Great Commission into full practice!

These are our people going to do God’s work. Prayer for their safety in travels, protection to

their health and for spiritual results. We are proud of each and every one!!!!

FINAL, FINAL CALL!!!!!!!!!!! – Last week I gave a final call for help at the Woodruff Area

Clothes Closet. It is located on Main St. between the Kangaroo Gas Station and the Washerette.

It is across the street from Lanford-Gwinn Funeral Home. I still have a need for 2 people to

work Saturday, July 19th

from 9-1. This is a ministry that our church has been involved in for

many years. We are assigned 1 month out of the year to work. This is one opportunity to be

involved in the community with a wide open door to share about our church and most of all our

Lord. If you would be willing to work that Saturday, PLEASE contact Pastor Terry at the

church, 476-2977 or sent an email to [email protected]. Thank you in advance for helping

our church to be actively engaged in the community. THEY NEED WHAT WE HAVE!!!

The Church of God General Assembly will be held this year in Orlando Florida, July 28-Aug 1.

Often, members of the Church of God are interested in what will be discussed in the business

sessions of the Assembly. You can go online to www.churchofgod.org and click on the big blue

banner that says “International General Council Agenda”. You then choose whether you want to

view the agenda or download the agenda. We just wanted to make that information available to

you should you have a desire to read through that and see what will be discussed.

*200 packs of black or blue pens, and

Just a reminder that our monthly Band of Brother’s meeting will be next Thursday, July 17th at 6:30 in the man cave. At every meeting we have awesome food because the team of cooks we have for Band Of Brothers really know what they are doing in the kitchen. The fellowship will be second to none because our brothers are the best in the state. You do not need to miss this gathering men!!! Our lesson will be true Discipleship and what it really means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. So guys, I want you to start now by doing a bit or research on this subject. I challenge each of you to read about it, look it up for yourself and bring your findings with you to the meeting and let's toss ideas around amongst ourselves. Let the sparks fly as "Iron Sharpens iron". For you fellers that have taken the courageous classes and have your certificate hanging on the wall, we as your brothers hold you accountable to come and help us become the men of God that we all need to be. So, Who will be there for us and help us ? I Will !!! I Will !!!

Mainstream Ministries will be having a corn hole tournament on Friday July 11th at 6:00 in the CLC. There will be turkey legs and sides for dinner and then we will get down to drawing for teams and have double elimination until we have a winning team. The cost is $5 per person and there is a sign-up sheet in the hallway at church on our bulletin board. Please sign-up by the 9th and bring some friends!
