Danielle’s ManifestoFree Legal Advice CentreWe are the only university in Ireland that does not provide its students with a Free Legal Ad-vice Centre on campus. This would run as a weekly drop-in clinic and a fortnightly appoint-ment-only clinic, and be run by the Welfare Office and local solicitors on a voluntary basis.

Freshers Buddy ProgrammeAmentoringprogrammefor incoming fresherssimilar to the InternationalBuddyScheme.First years will be given a mentor from their course of study to assist them with any questions or troubles they may encounter.

Student SpacesStudentfriendlyspacesareimperativeforthegeneralwell-beingofstudentsandshouldnotbecenteredsolelyaroundstudyoralcohol.IplantopromoteanddeveloptheSUCommonRoomas a place to distress.
Drug AwarenessWe cannot ignore that students come into contact with drugs, however no matter what views you hold, adequate information, education and support needs to be made available.
