The amount of the sale almost always excludes credit card or debit card payment surcharges. Ask these questions specifically before you sign an agreement. Some affiliate programs are even stricter in their definition of revenue. Your commission may be based on the profit margin of the sold product. For example, if you help sell a book for 20 dollars but the company only makes 10 dollars profit, you’ll receive a percentage of 10 dollars not 20. This can make a substantial difference in your earnings. Again, make sure




you understand these things and ask specifically what your commission will be based upon. Read your agreement and look out for odd sounding clauses. These could come back to haunt you later. Something else to beware of when you work on commission is returns. Many affiliate marketing companies only pay commission out on completed sales and then only if the customer keeps the item. If they return the items your commission could be cancelled. To really rub salt in the wounds, you could be billed for the outstanding commission if you do not have sufficient commission credit built up. Make sure you understand this before signing on. You cannot expect a company to pay you a commission on an item that is returned but make sure you understand their return policy. Find out your rights in this situation. Affiliate marketing can be a great way to earn money. If you have good sales and marketing skills then it can give you the opportunity to put them to good use. 7 Quick Tips For Online Business 1. Don’t be lazy.

Internet business is not a get rich quick scheme, so don’t expect to become rich and successful overnight or without any work and effort. This is real business and it does require work, time and effort. If you don’t work hard at start, you can’t expect to become successful fast. Don’t rely on “quick install push one button software” because they don’t work. The only thing they will do on one push is take you money.

2. Work smart, not hard!

When I say you should work hard, I have “long hours” on my mind. Expect to work for a couple of hours per day at start (as many hours as you can), but that doesn’t mean you should lose your time and effort on tasks that can be easily replaces with software, script or simply outsourced. Use your head and avoid putting your effort in something you can done much faster and more easily with some “help”. If you can buy a plugin that will automate something, or software that will help you to cut down time needed for some tasks – buy them! Time is money, don’t forget that.

3. Learn how to get traffic.

Without traffic your websites won’t earn you any money, so learn how to get traffic or get someone to generate it instead of you. Again, time is money, so don’t lose time on traffic generation methods that doesn’t work for you. Some people are great in SEO, other sucks at it. If you can get relatively fast results with methods for generation free traffic, simply start buying traffic. Paid traffic is in many cases better solution than wasting time on SEO that doesn’t work for you.

4. Design does matter.

Some marketers tend to say that “ugly sites sell better”. That could be true – for them, but that’s not a rule so don’t fall for that. Design does matter. You don’t need to have the most beautiful website on the Internet, but your websites should look nice and appealing. Those old times when ugly sites were OK have passed and people know that. So,




do as much as you can to create good looking and professional websites. You wouldn’t buy from some guy who doesn’t take care of his look, so why would you expect people will buy from your ugly website. If you can do something or create something, than do it. That will be harder for you but in long run it will be more than worth it.

7. Keep your focus.

Never lose your focus and never focus on more than one thing at the time. Those that are telling how multitasking is great are wrong. You can’t do 7 things at one time equally good nor as good as you could if that’s the only thing you need to do. So, keep your focus on one thing and don’t jump to another before you finish the first one. Also, try to avoid any distraction when you are working, in order to keep your focus on your job. So, when you are working you should avoid emails, family, friends, Facebook, Twitter, television, Skype, and so on. Remember, one thing at a time.
