#1Change the default color scheme of PowerPoint

For all those who are bored with this silver color

Silver(Default) Blue

Black

File -> Options -> Under General, go to Color Scheme. Choose Blue or Black. Silver is the standard (default) color for the window.

#2Change how the receiver opens your slide deck

File -> Options -> Advanced -> Display. Open all documents using this view.

Now choose ‘Normal – Thumbnails & Slide’ or whatever else you want

Your audience opens the PPT file in the manner you saved it; which is sometimes very disorganized.

#3Change what right click does in slideshow

File -> Options -> Advanced -> Slideshow. Uncheck ‘Show menu on right mouse click’

Right click during slideshow opens menu options.

You can make right click to go to the previous slide (since left click goes to the next)

#4Change the author name of your presentation

File -> Info -> Related People (see extreme right) -> Author.

Type your name as the author of the presentation. You can also enter the ‘last modified by person’ name (if multiple authors)

Put your correct name as the author of the PPT

#5Set a password to open your presentation

File -> Info -> Protect Presentation -> Encrypt with password

Type in the password and save your presentation.

Only the person having to the password can view your presentation.

If you forget the password, forget about the presentation as well

#6Hide slide numbers from your audience

Right click on the ‘Slide 1 of 201’ and deselect ‘View Indicator’

When you open the PPT file, the number of slides is shown at the left bottom.It reads ‘Slide 1 of 201’. Hide it!

#7Remove all notes from your presentation

File -> Info -> Check for Issues -> Inspect Document

Only select ‘Presentation Notes’. Inspect. Remove all when it says ‘notes were found’

You have made lots of notes under each slide. You don’t want the person opening the presentation to see it.
