For achieving these fundamental objectives, there is a Gujarat Bhawan at 11, Kautilya Marg, Chankyapuri, New Delhi. However, the building of this Bhawan is very old and the infrastructure has been found to be inadequate. Hence, Government of Gujarat has constructed a second guest house namely" Garvi Gujarat "at 25B Akbar Road, New Delhi with modern, cost effective and environment friendly amenities. Since the facilities in the new building of Garvi Gujarat have increased manifold as

compared to those existing in the old building of Gujarat Bhawan which has been in operation

s ince 1965 at 11 Kautilya Marg, Chankyapuri, New Delhi, it would not be appropriate to

continue the prevailing tariff structure of old Gujarat Bhawan in Garvi Gujarat.

Resolution:

l. In order to maintain the building and the quality of professional services availed

through outsourcing and also to at least partially recover the expenditure incurred from the

State Exchequer for running the Garvi Gujarat, there is a need to augment the revenue of the

Guest House. Therefore, the fixation of tar iff for the new State Guest House is an administrative

imperative. It has therefore been decided to partially revise thetariff as given in the following

table:

Note: The charges as above are for accommodation only and do not include charges for

catering, Laundry, Internet & Gymnasium, breakage and other charges.

, Terms and Conditions:

i) The facilities at Garvi Gujarat will be used for fulfilling the fundamental objectives as

mentioned in the Preamble. These facilities can be allotted to the private persons

considering their status and need but subject to availability.

ii) Officers of a rank equivalent to Secretary and above may be allowed to book rooms in

Garvi Gujarat so that both Guest Houses can be utilized properly.

· iii) All the distinguished guests staying in the guest house shall be required to adhere to th e

conduct & discipline as expected of a public servant.

iv) The reservation/ allotment of rooms for the 'private persons' other than CPSUs and

SPSUs in category "I" will be done on the basis of reference from VIPs/Senior

Government Officers

v) Tariff will be charged for the whole suite/room as a unit without consideration of

occupancy of less number of beds.

vi) Period of 24 hours from the time of allotment of suite will be counted as 1 (one) day. Period less than 24 hours will also be counted as 1 (one) day.

vii) The guests should enter all necessary information in the prescribed format online or at

the reception desk and the suite/room will be allotted thereafter.

viii) Reservation of suites is non-transferable. A person other than that in whose name the suite/room is provided at the time of registration of reservation, will not be permitted to stay in the " Garvi Gujarat".

ix) It is necessary that photo identity cards in respect of all the persons staying in the suite/room are provided at the time of registration of reservation and entries made in the requisite register.

x) Reservation will not be given to persons headquartered in New Delhi.

xi) Extra bedding will not be provided in the suites.

xii) The full tariff in respect of guests in Category "I" (Private) must be deposited in advance in cash.

xiii) If any article of the Guest House is lost or broken by the guest, an amount double the prevailing market rate of the article will be charged as compensation and this amount will be included in the bill at the time of checking out.

xiv) In case of any matter other than that which is not covered under the rules issued by the Government, the decision of the Resident Commissioner, Government of Gujarat on any such matter(s) shall be final.

2. Persons eligible for accommodation in the " Garvi Gujarat " covered under categories A to H of Table 2 may be permitted to book amenities at Garvi Gujarat at the rate

prescribed below:

Note :1. The above rates do not include catering, breakage or other charges.

► Terms and Conditions:

i) Reservation in respect of all the above facilities will be available to the guests in Categories A to H in table 2 as well as to various authorities and corporations of the

Central and State Government.

ii) Full amount of tariff must be deposited in advance as per prescribed procedure.

iii) Reservation for the facilities mentioned in Table-3 will not be given to private persons. However, Resident Commissioner shall have the powers to make exceptions in certain

cases.

iv) The organizers of events must ensure that usual guests staying in the guest house are not inconvenienced on account of the event/s arranged by them. Furniture/acoustics system other than those installed in the hall shall not be allowed to be used under any

circumstances.

v) Littering and/ or despoiling the guest house premises is strictly prohibited. If any such act is noticed, the cost of damage/cleaning as decided by the management committee

will be recovered from the concerned.

vi) The allottee must take care of the lawns/tree/shrubs in the premises of "Garvi Gujarat". In case of any damage, compensation as decided by the management committee shall be

recovered from the allottee.

vii) Garvi Gujarat management will not be responsible for parking of vehicles during events.

The concerned allottees are required to arrange for parking on their own.

viii) Advance reservation of common facilities is liable to be cancelled during the visits of Hon'ble Governor/ Hon'ble Chief Minister/Hon'ble Dy. Chief Minister/ Hon'ble Chief

Justice etc or when such facility is required for other purposes in public interest.

ix) Facilities at" Garvi Gujarat" shall not be used for any religious purposes.

x) If reservation is required to be cancelled by the allottee concerned, 80% of the advance amount deposited will be refunded. However, no deduction will be made for change in

reservation by the management.

xi) The right to entertain or reject the application for the purpose of booking of facilities mentioned vests with Resident Commissioner or any officer authorized on his behalf.

3. The chargeable tariffs for the Suites/Rooms and Allied Facilities at the Garvi Gujarat

will come into effect from date of issue of this government Resolution.
