It is our great honour and pleasure to invite you and your team to participate at the Eindhoven 2020 Dutch Open Taekwondo Championships.

Together with the government of Eindhoven we will host this event in the city of Eindhoven from the 6th until the 8th of March 2020.

All competition area’s will be equipped with video replay and electronic body protectors and headgear. The Dutch Open will have the best referees in order to guarantee maximum transparency, fair play & impartiality for the athletes.

Please mark our event in your calendar and make sure not to miss this high-level quality championship. Our professional organisation team is working hard to make this event successful! If you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the organisation team.

3.1 Categories : Cadet Juniors Seniors

3.2 WT Senior ranking : Will be applied on the latest release date

3.3 Age : Age categories according to WT-categories accept for the cadet division.

Cadet competitors : born in 2006, 2007 and 2008 (Art. 4.11) Junior competitors : born in 2003, 2004 and 2005 Seniors competitors: born in 2003 and older

(Juniors born in 2003 compete as a junior or as a senior. Competing in both categories is not allowed.)

3.4 Graduation : All competitors must hold at least 2nd Geup.

3.5 Weight divisions : World Taekwondo weightclasses.

3.6 Qualifications : Participants must be member of a National Taekwondo Federation, affiliated to the WT . The WT Global Licence (WT Global Athlete Licence & Global Official Licence) is required by all athletes and officials participating in this tournament. WT Global Licence registrations & renewals can only be made through the WT recognized Member National Associations and application should be made at least 2 months before the tournament starts to ensure the WT licence can be processed and approved in time”. There will be “NO” WT Global Licence registration onsite.

The WT licence must be valid for 2020 or renewed to be used for 2020 - entry fees are obligated at all times. The WT licence is the responsibility of all participants (competitors and officials) participating at the 47th Dutch Open Taekwondo Championships and must be registered and approved through their respective WT Member National Association.

4. RULES

4.1 OVR system : Ma-regonline / Taekwondo Management System

4.2 IVR system : Will be used on all competition area’s

Quota : 1 quota for each match.

4.3 Competition rules : WT Competition rules.

4.4 Mode : Single elimination tournament system. The organization committee and WT Technical Delegate can decide to adjust the competition.

4.5 Doping Control : Some contestants chosen at random will be tested.

4.6 Awards : 1st, 2nd and two 3rd places will be awarded.

4.7 Hall Rules : Only the competitors and their coaches will have admittance with valid accreditations to the contest areas.

4.8 Equipment : PSS + E-helmet shall be provided for all competition areas and all weight divisions (cadet, junior and senior). Only WT-recognized Equipment is allowed groin-, forearm-, shin-, mouthpiece, Daedo sensor socks and gloves will be brought by the contestants, which is compulsory. Sensor socks will not be provided by the organization.

4.9 Protest : Only the official coach is allowed to protest to the LSC, immediately after the end of the contest. An amount of € 100,- will have to be paid for each protest. The protest amount will not be refunded in any case.

4.10 Liability : All competitors are considered to participate at their own risk. The Taekwondo Bond Nederland and the organizer assume no responsibility for any damages, injuries or losses and specifically note that they also take no responsibility for any damages, losses, injuries or other consequences due to (directly or indirectly) acts of terrorism or terrorist threats. All contestants must bring their own documents and forms for any medical treatment in the Netherlands. If not, this will have to be paid in cash.

4.11 Liability of weaver : Those who are not recognized as adults (under aged) by law in their own country must submit a passport or identification card together with a written consent (liability declaration) at registration signed by parents or lawful guardians, accepting the participation and all parts of the official invitation.

According to the Dutch Law competitors must be at least 12 years old at the date of the event. It is not allowed for 11 years to compete.

4.12 Identification : According to Dutch law all competitors & visitors need to have a valid Identification by means of a valid passport or other official identification document!

: National teams are allowed to have accreditations for 1 MNA official, 1 official doctor and 1 Coach for every 4 competitors.

Club teams can only register coach accreditations all other accreditations are not allowed.

Please note that for every 4 competitors 1 coach is granted free admission. Extra coach passes can be requested separately for € 25,00 euro for each individual coach. Coaches need to have a valid WT and continental coach licence.

5.5 Pictures : Modification of all pictures during registration will be charged € 25,00 euro.

5.6 Modifications : Modifications are possible at the registration for an amount of € 25,00 for each modification. (only weight changes) After attending the official weigh-in no further modifications are allowed. This means no changes will be made in weightdivisions! Competitors who started the official weigh-in procedure must complete this, if not completed, the competitor will be disqualified from the competition. Restitutions will never be made.

IMPORTANT : Athletes who registered on https://worldtkd.simplycompete.com/events

and does not take part in the competition, but he/she has not been removed from the list of participants before the deadline the team or official must fully (100%) pay his/her entry fee for participation. Entry fee is not refundable at any time after the deadline!

5.7 Procedure : Application is only valid when payment has been done at the same time of registrations. Applications are only valid when payments of all entry fees have been received within 3 day’s. If payment is not received within 3 day’s the application will be removed from the online registration. Entries done 3 days before the deadline must be paid immediately.

6. HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

7. TRANSPORTATION

Round trip airfare of the participants and team officials shall be borne by themselves. Because of the tremendous number of participants it is not possible for the Organizing Committee to provide transportation from the airport to the hotels and local transportation between the sport venue and the hotels.

8. INTERNATIONAL REFEREES

Invitations and participating of all International Referees will be made by the Organizing Committee of the Dutch Open.

The invitation will be final only with confirmation of the Organizing Committee. Accommodation from Friday the 6th (check-in 18.00 hrs) till Sunday 8th of March 2020 (check out 08.30 hrs) will be covered by the Organizing Committee. International referees will receive an allowance of € 75,- for each tournament day (€ 150,- total).

9. ADMISSION

11. OTHERS

Recording within the competition area is not allowed. Recording from the public stands is only allowed with handy cam-type cameras.

Commercial business is not allowed under any circumstances without any written permission of the Dutch Taekwondo Federation. Only contracted business are allowed in the venue. A penalty of 10.000,00 EURO shall be paid cash when violating this rule. The organization will have full authority to remove the violators from the venue and event. Please note that you will automatically comply with the rules of the Dutch Taekwondo Federation written in this invitation when accessing the venue or any part of the event.
