    The TB138FR, TB153FR and TB180FR zero swing excavators make up the “Full Rotation” series from Takeuchi.     • Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) should be performed prior to machine delivery to ensure maximum machine function and performance.

    • Fuel and lubrication should be checked prior to delivery so there are no unexpected interruptions; proper lubrication will help ensure there are no unusual sounds during machine operation.

    • Ensure all controls and circuits function properly and that they are crisp and responsive.

    • Buckets and attachments should be installed properly.

    • Clean the machine thoroughly and remove all plastic and protective coverings from the seat and control levers; the machine should look new as if it were being delivered to the customer.

    • Clean and adjust the mirrors for optimum visibility.

    • Slide the seat to its farthest rearward position so the customer can appreciate the spaciousness of the operator's compartment.

    • Raise the seat to its highest position so you can demonstrate the multiple height adjustments.

    • Safety lockout lever should be in the upright position so you can explain its function at the appropriate time.

    • Engine hood and covers should be unlocked and remain closed until you are ready to discuss.

    • Review the operator's manual to ensure that YOU know and understand all machine features, their function and benefits.

    • Position the machine properly to allow for an orderly presentation. Takeuchi recommends the following:

    1. Position the blade in front of the machine to allow easier viewing and access around the machine.

    2. Adjust the boom swing as if you were digging in line with the right track so you can demonstrate how the machine can be positioned close to a wall or obstruction.

    3. Rotate the house approximately 20°– 30° so the track frame may be used as a step for easy entry / egress and to demonstrate the visibility when operating close to a wall or obstruction.

    4. Position the arm at approximately a 90° angle to the boom so that the arm is perpendicular to the ground.

    5. If equipped with a pin-on bucket, position it so that it's resting flat on the ground.

    6. Bucket coupler – if equipped with a bucket coupler, remove the bucket and set it beside the arm so that you can demonstrate the function at the appropriate time. Place the arm on the ground.

    • Bucket pin seals and o-rings help keep dirt and contaminants out of critical wear points.

    • Dual pin position bucket provides a power dig position for tough applications and a curl position to maximize productivity. The general recommendation is to place in the curl position (hole nearest the main pin) to allow better range of motion and faster cycles.

    • Grease points are located down one side of the boom and arm for easy access, and should be greased daily.

    • Attachment interference prevention system slows and then stops the boom according to the position of the attachment selection switch located inside the cab, and a mechanical fail safe provides an additional level of protection.

    • Large pins and bushings for superior durability.

    • Steel hydraulic lines used extensively for greater durability and the hydraulic lines are routed to ensure long life.

    • Side-to-Side (STS) Boom provides unequalled visibility to the work equipment and it allows the machine to operate in very confined areas and rotate 360° just inches beyond the width of the track.

    • STS Boom Design greatly enhances machine stability by allowing more of the rear counterweight to stay over the center of the undercarriage.

    • Heavy duty frame structure prevents twisting and uses four very large pins to distribute the forces to the machine frame through the oversized box reinforced offset arms for the ultimate in reliability.

    • Over center boom design enables a very tight turning circle and the heavy duty boom cylinder guard helps protect it from damage.

    • Standard boom holding valve (TB153FR and TB180FR) helps maintain load control in the event of a hose failure / loss of pressure.

    • Blade frame features heavy duty rectangular steel tubing and substantial gusset reinforcements to enhance durability and prevent bending and twisting.

    • Blade design enhances productivity due to its height and curvature which allows it to hold and push a large volume of material.

    • Large tie down points on the right and left side of the blade and on the rear of the track frame make it easy to secure for transport.

    • Three lifting points are provided; two are located on the blade and a third is located in the curve of the boom for easy craning and machine placement.

    • K-frame design reduces the build-up of dirt and debris and provides outstanding ground clearance.

    • Triple flange track rollers limit the potential for de-tracking due to multiple contact points.

    • Automatic two-speed travel shifts automatically to high torque mode when a load is encountered.

    • Tilt-up operator platform provides outstanding access to the starter, alternator, main hydraulic valve, hydraulic lines, accumulator and slew motor.

    • Fuel level sight gauge allows easy inspection of fuel level.

    • Large grab handles and step enable the operator to easily and confidently enter and exit the operator's station.

    • Pilot accumulator allows trapped pressure to be released making it easier to change hydraulic attachments and work equipment may be lowered with the engine off.

    • Lever lock folds up to lock controls and to provide greater access into, and out of the operator's station.

    LEFT SIDE

    1. Prior to your walk around and demonstration, make sure you have the tools and ability to loosen the left side cover using a 13 mm wrench and the two bolts inside the engine compartment using a 22 mm socket.

    2. Once at the site, loosen both bolts leaving them hand tight so you can easily remove them during the walk around while explaining their location and ease of access.

    3. Before tilting the cab, make sure the boom is positioned to provide adequate clearance for the operator's station to be tilted forward.

    4. After removing the hardware and tilting the operator's platform, demonstrate how the safety support device (yellow bar under platform) functions prior to looking under or moving under the raised platform.

    5. Show the customer how much access is available to the hydraulic valve, hoses, slew motor, and swivel joint.

    6. When the inspection is complete, allow the customer tolowertheplatformbyfirstdisengagingthesafetylockout device and guiding the platform to the lowered position. Be sure to install and tighten the cab bolts before operating the machine.
