Useful Informatıon

O$cials should arrive on Sunday, the 15th of May. Delegations are asked to arrive on Monday, the 16th of May, before 18:00. All departures should be after 15:00 on Sunday, the 22nd of May. It is strongly advised you book your travel accordingly.

May is a warm month in Istanbul, cold winds and rain are unexpected. However, be sure to check the weather conditions prior to departure and pack accordingly.

EYP Turkey has a strict no drugs, no alcohol policy during all of its sessions, and its violation results in immediate expulsion from the session. We would also like to remind you that the possession of alcohol on school premises is strictly prohibited by Turkish Law.

The consumption of alcohol and purchase of tobacco product s is illegal for those under the age of

18 in Turkey. As in many countries, there is now a smoking ban in all closed public spaces such as cafes, transport, etc. It should also be noted that Robert College has a strict no smoking policy and there is no provision of a smoking area anywhere on campus for anyone including chaperones!

It is expected that participants will dress appropriately at all times. You are reminded that this conference takes place at a Turkish high school.

Istanbul is a fairly safe city but crowded places may pose a risk of pickpockets. Following common traveling rules and keeping an eye out is advisable especially in crowded streets.

Be sure to keep up to date with the organizational updates and to drop us a line whenever you have a question in mind!
