DIRECTORY OF EUROPEAN TESTING AND ANALYTICAL LABORATORIES, 1994
This book is a directory of some 1000 testing and analytical laboratories operating in the countries of
the European Economic Community (EEC) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). The E U R O L A B Directory contains:
• details of the laboratories; • the range of the services they offer to customers; • a choice of 30 measurement and testing
techniques; • a list of 70 fields and products tested; • updated information on the Global and New
Approach to technical harmonization in the EEC.
This publication is a unique event in Europe. It is the business tool the whole profession has long been waiting for, and meets the growing demand from laboratory practitioners and from test users because:
• clients have a hard time identifying the informa- tion on the laboratories and the services that might suit their requirements;
• laboratories need to have a wider exchange of experience, to cooperate in research programmes, intercomparisons and proficiency testing, to seek partners and evaluate new trends;
• both industrial and consumer products have to meet quality, safety, and environmental protec- tion requirements as part of European Directives and Standards.
The Directory of European Testing and Analytical Laboratories is also essential reading for overseas manufacturers and institutions wishing to have access to European know-how and testing services. More than a directory, it is also a guide which contains the latest information related to the testing environment.
