The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and Arsht
Families, a volunteer committee of parents committed to supporting children’s
access to the performing arts at the Arsht Center, are pleased to host the first ARSHT
FAMILIES IMAGINATION BALL. This one-of-a-kind children’s gala will be an afternoon
of immersive arts activities, dancing, wild dessert displays and live performances by
“America’s Got Talent” finalist David Garibaldi and his CMYKs (a group of sensational
performance painters) as well as the local kids rock band LIVE! Modern School of
Music – all set on the stage of the Ziff Ballet Opera House.
As the Arsht Center approaches our 10th Anniversary Season, we are fulfilling the
dreams of our founders and soaring to even greater heights. Your philanthropic
investment in the Arsht Center makes imaginations soar, helps shape young minds,
and allows us to reach into our community to share the transformative power of the
performing arts. Thank you for your support of our mission -- to enlighten, educate
and entertain our diverse community through transformational cultural experiences.
All proceeds raised from the Imagination Ball will support the Arsht Center’s Arts
Education and Community Engagement programs, which bring the performing arts to
life for more than 27,000 students throughout Miami-Dade County each season.

Featured Artist
From the moment David picked up a crayon as a young
child and started to draw, he knew his passion for creating
color and images would be his life. Creativity surrounded
him throughout his young life, which would lead to his first
initial strokes and steps by combining rhythm and hue,
music and color, while listening to hip-hop icons Run DMC
and Snoop Dogg. Music remained a big part of his life as he
joined the high school hip-hop dance group, Boogie Monstarz, but art became a
more predominant force in his life as he perfected his skill in high school courses.
As he matured, so did his skills. Garibaldi has been able to create images through the
use of his body movements and brushes while always captivating the audience. David
was a 2012 finalist on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” is an official Disney Artist, and has
opened two arena tours for Blue Man Group. His paintings have been utilized by Fortune
500 companies such as AT&T; they have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for
various charities and have been a platform to motivate students and employees of various
organizations.
Garibaldi’s high school animation teacher inspired him to take his passion for art and turn it
into a more positive and creative direction. He never forgets this encouragement and more
importantly the value of someone believing in him. Every performance is an opportunity
to give back – either through teaching youth or providing resources to the community.
Inspiration serves Garibaldi in his art and in his life. “Living with passion and purpose”
drives him every day to transcend what he does as an artist into a philanthropist.
