The County Road Commission Board operates as a policy board. Commissioners appoint top level Administrative personnel, adopt classifications and descriptions, adopt policies for CRC employees, approve and amend the annual budget, act on bid proposals, award contracts and authorize the purchase of equipment.
One (1) vacancy on the AIRPORT AUTHORITY. This vacancy will be for a three (3) year term, commencing January 1, 2021 (immediately) and expiring December 31, 2023.
The purpose of the Manistee Blacker Airport Authority is to plan, promote, acquire, construct, improve, own, lease, operate and maintain an airport including land, landing strip, navigation aids and buildings. To provide efficient service to all who use the facility and to initiate and maintain rules and regulations for the operation of the Authority and the airport.
One (1) vacancy on the CENTRA WELLNESS BOARD OF DIRECTORS. This vacancy will be to fill an unexpired three (3) year term commencing immediately and expiring March 31, 2022.
The Centra Wellness Network Board of Directors, a twelve (12) member policy board made up of residents of Manistee and Benzie Counties (proportional to population) and consists of seven (7) residents from Manistee County and five (5) residents from Benzie County. State law requires that at least four (4) of the Board members be primary (themselves) or secondary (family members) consumers (past or present) of any mental health services. The remaining eight (8) positions are selected “at large” from various members of the community including County Commissioners who may have interests in Centra Wellness Services. Applicants must be permanent residents of Manistee County. This vacancy is for a primary/secondary consumer position.
One (1) vacancy on the LIBRARY BOARD. This vacancy will be to fill an unexpired five (5) year term, commencing immediately and expiring December 31, 2022.
The Library Board develops, ensures implementation, conducts regular reviews, and evaluates policies and contracts governing library services in personnel; fiscal management and oversight of all financial accounts and operations; and the selection and delegation of day to day administration of library functions to the Executive Officer.

The deadline for filing your application packet is Monday, February 8, 2021 by 5:00 p.m. at the County Clerk’s Office.
