Blixseth Mountain Park 71-251 Mirage Road Entrance to this park is marked by signage on Mirage Road. Follow signage down the driveway behind Rancho Mirage Elementary School to pedestrian bridge lead- ing to park. This nature park features native desert landscaping, walking paths, and benches for observing the desert and mountain vistas. Considered a place to experience the natural beauty of the desert, this park offers visitors the opportunity for quiet solitude and closeness to nature not found in other parks. Michael S. Wolfson Park 70-001 Frank Sinatra Drive Located at Da Vall Drive and Frank Sinatra Drive, adjacent to the Butler-Abrams trail system and the Whitewater Storm Channel. This park has a Victorian theme that features a fountain, decorative lighting fixtures, picnic tables, benches, and a braille-marked walking path. Upon entering the park, visitors can play a recorded “welcome” message from Frank Sinatra, who lived nearby. The park was built in honor of former City Council Member Michael S. Wolfson, who served on the City Council from 1978 to 1986. Rancho Mirage Community Park 71-560 San Jacinto Drive Located on San Jacinto Drive just west of Indian Trail Road, Rancho Mirage Community Park has something for everyone. Amenities include: a shaded children’s play area equipped with climbing structures, exercise stations along a walking path, and pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts. Rancho Mirage Community Park is home to the Rancho Mirage Amphitheater, which hosts an array of community events throughout the year. The amphitheater offers terrace seating to accommodate 1,000 guests, a dramatically covered platform stage, and decorative perimeter fencing. Rancho Mirage Dog Park 34-100 Key Largo Avenue Located on the corner of Key Largo Avenue and Via Vail. Rancho Mirage Dog Park offers separate gated grass areas for large and small dogs. The park is enclosed with decorative perimeter fencing and double latching gates. Just over four laps around the lighted exterior walkway measures one mile. The sculpture garden was designed as a celebration of life and to provide encouragement to current cancer patients. One of 22 such parks in the nation, this park was constructed by the Bloch Foundation as a gift to the community. Clancy Lane Trail Clancy Lane just west of Monterey Avenue • Distance: 2.20 miles • Elevation gain: 14 feet • Difficulty: Easy Clancy Lane Trail connects Rancho Mirage Community Park and the residential community of Clancy Lane. The trail runs through the Whitewater Storm Chan- nel, crosses under Bob Hope Drive, and has two routes through the Clancy Lane neighborhood. Bighorn Overlook Trail Frank Sinatra Drive / Highway 111 • Distance: 0.27 mile • Elevation gain: 100 feet • Difficulty: Moderate to Steep Parking and trail access for Bighorn Overlook Trail available in the upper park- ing lot of City Hall. This trail is a brief hike with several switchbacks, boasting a picnic shelter and an incredible panoramic view at the top. Just past the picnic shelter, this trail connects with Jack Rabbit Trail. Chuckwalla Trail Frank Sinatra Drive west of Highway 111 • Distance: 1.58 miles • Elevation gain: 200 feet • Difficulty: Moderate Chuckwalla Trail circles the Mirada Villas, continues through the foothills, and intersects with the Roadrunner Trail. Jack Rabbit Trail Frank Sinatra Drive / Highway 111 • Distance: 0.67 mile • Elevation gain: 100 feet • Difficulty: Moderate Jack Rabbit Trail can be accessed on the south end of the Richard & Annette Bloch Cancer Survivors Park or via the Bighorn Overlook Trail. The trail travels through the foothills behind Rancho Mirage City Hall. Parking for this trail is available in the upper parking lot of City Hall.
