Voltage Grade 300/500v.

Construction Conductors:

Plain annealed copper conductors complying with BS6360

Insulation:Polyethylene to BS6234 type 03or XLPE (Cross Linked Polyethylene)for LSZH cables.(LSZH cables aregenerally to BS5308).

Pairing:Two insulated conductors uniformlytwisted together with a lay notexceeding 100mm.

Two pair cables without individual pair screens shall have four cores laid in quad formation around a central dummy

Pair Identification:

(Collectively Screened Cables)Colour coded in accordance with BEC colour chart

(Individually pair screened Cables)One blue core and one black corein each pair identified by a numberedpair screen isolation tape.

IMPORTANT:

These cables are not suitable fordirect connection to the Publicmains supply.

Pair Screens.Indivdually Screened Pairs.Where individual pair screening isrequired, an Aluminium/Polyestertape screen is applied to each pair,Metallic side down and in continuous contact with a 0.5mm² tinned copperdrain wire.

Collectively Screened Cables.For cables requiring a collective screen, an Aluminium/Polyester tape

screen is applied over the laid uppairs metallic side down and incontinuous contact with a 0.5mm² tinned copper drain wire.

Cable AssemblyPairs are assembled together usingthe reciprocating lay technique.

Binder Tape.A non-hydroscopic binder tape isapplied over the cable assembly.

Outer Protection:

Type 1: Extruded flame retardantPVC sheath or LSZH.

Type 2: Extruded polyethylene bedding.Galvanised Steel wire armour.Extruded flame retardantPVC sheath or LSZH.

Type 3: PVC bedding. Extruded sheath of LeadAlloy.Galvanised Steel WireArmour.PVC sheath.

Standard Sheath Colours:

Blue and Black.

Mutual Capacitance:

(a) Cables with only collectivescreens (except one-pairand two pair).
