PTS Site supervisor/electrician Telent- Merseyrail- Merseytravel Merseyside Supervisory and hands on role on a £2.5 million project leading a five man team, responsibility's included ordering materials andplant, maintaining and updating all site specific documentation, interfacing with designers, project and construction managers and Mersey rail site staff to implement installation using safe working practices in the safety critical railway environment. Installation carried out on days/nights and possession works were required. Installation, inspecting, testing, commissioning and handover of 52 live stations. Project covered upgrade of public announce systems therefore new cabling, containment, amps, microphones, induction loops, speakers and software. Also installation/change over of a live signalling desk at Sandhills signal room for Mersey rail. Working alongside Networkrail for a one week turnaround to meet stringent deadlines and achieve high praise from Network Rail and Mersey rail area managers, leading to a article being published in the Railway engineer paper.

Telent-First Great Western Rail South East England (Paddington to Penzance) Supervisory and hands on role on a £5million project, leading a team of nine men on 82 live/active stations including large stations with heavy footfall and high safety risk and heritage site stations with precise installations required. Duties included site specific documentation, task briefs, risk assessments, site diary's, toolbox talks, audits, design of containment routes, design changes, construction updates. Ordering of plant and materials, maintaining multiple site vehicles, liasing with project managers and station staff to coordinate safe working practice in the safety critical railway environment. Project scope was working days/nights and possession works required carrying out the installation, testing, commissioning and handover of new steelwork, duct routes and civil engineering work, CIS, CCTV, PA, LLPA, Local microphones and interior/exterior cabinets with amps, patch panels, DDX, DDSX, drivers and PCs

Also installation of points heating and new signal location cabinets.

Pts Electrician Fone Alarm - London Midland Rail Tamworth Station PTS electrician duties included installation, testing and commissioning of all new containment cabling and steelwork to provide new customer information screens, public announce systems, help points and cabinet. Also installation of containment and cable, DB and lighting on new two storey car park.

Oct 2009 to May 2010

Pts electrician Telent - South west trains - Mersey rail South west England and Merseyside PTS electrician who's duties included installation, testing and commissioning of new customer information screens on 127 active/live stations. Proceeding the project was a complete new installation of CIS, steelwork, cabling and containment, of trial stations on the Wimbledon loop on the South west trains network to a stringent budget and timescale which led to winning a £3million project to a further 120 stations being upgraded.

Mersey rail project scope was a full new installation of CIS, PA, LLPA which led to a further 52 stations a £2.5 million project. The Wimbledon loop project I was the only electrician employed so the high standard of work I delivered helped Telent technology services expand its rail department as a result of thecontracts it won.

Pts electrician Thales - Northern Rail Yorkshire PTS electrician who's duties included installing, inspection, testing and commissioning of new cable, containment, steelworkto customer information screens and comms cabinets on 55 active/live stations across Yorkshire for Northern Rail. The installation was carried out to a high standard and led to a testimonial reference from Network Rail senior management.

Maintenance Electrician Papermarc Burnley Electrical and mechanical maintenance in a 24/7 paper recycling plant. Working continental shift pattern as part of a maintenance teamreporting to the maintenance manager. The plant also had a 11kv HV supply on site on which maintenance was carried out.
