“All the nations of the world have come together and have set up 8 millenium develop-ment goals and it will remain just a dream if
you don’t stand up and participate. You know, we all have to join together to eradicate pover-ty, to bring primary education, health, hygien, care for the enviroment and make this world
a more beatiful place to be in.” - H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

”I’m extremely happy, not because we are going to break the Gunnies World Record. The major record that we want to break is the record of broken promises and I’m happy that Art of Living under Guruji’s guidance has joined the United Na-tions Millennium Campaign to remind our leaders: No more broken promises! - No more broken pro-mises!” We are the first generation in the 6 000 years history, known history, of the human civi-lisation, who has the financial resources, all the intellectual capabilities, all the technology requi-red, to eradicate poverty, eradicate violence, era-dicate anything that we wish to eradicate and I’m speaking from the knowledge city of this country which is Bangalore, so it’s possible. What we re-quire is that great enthusiasm and spirit that you bring. We do not want people to engage in social work activities with long faces and that is why I was attracted to Guruji, because you do change with happiness because the change is for building happiness. That is what the change is for and that is the connecting link between us to work together.”
- Dr Richa ChopraAOL Stand Up Speak Out
Global Campaign Coordinator
”The spirit that we see here in the Bangalore Art of Living International Centre, the same spirit, is being replicated in over 51 countries and 26 states of In-dia and this has been happening since morning. And the message behind the spirit, something that was envisioned for so long, is to bring the partnerships of the government, the NGO:s and like Guruji’s said, the volunteers, the masses all together. So here we have the government, we have the NGO, one of the largest NGOs in the Art of Living, and the masses and the volunteers all together who have entered into a partnership, a partnership for development. The seeds have been sawn and now it is each one of our responsibilities to take this forward. I would like to thank Mr Chennai Ramu President Dalit Fe-deration Department of India, Mr Sudhakar Rao, Principle Secretary, Pitaji, Justice Shridhar Rao and Sri Anantu With this message and with this spirit of partnership I would like to thank all of us for being here and let us give us selves a big applause for being here and Unted Nations Millen-nium Campaign‘s deputy director, Minar Pimpleji, who has come all the way from Bangkok. He could have been anywhere today, any part of the world celebrating this campaign but he choose to come to the Art of Living Bangalore International Centre and Minarji: - This is just the beginning. We have al long journey to go. Thank you. Thank you Guruji.”

The Total Count for Bahrain was 17,936! Words can’t describe the scenario and experience of Oc-tober 17, 2007; BUT IT WAS ALL GURU’S FLOW AND OUTBREAK! In the morning we had just the count of about 6,000. We didn’t get some of the approvals of the events until further that after-noon such as LULU Hypermarket at 3pm. It was 4 hrs in LULU, from 6:30pm-9-45pm, Ms.Samudra and I were able to reach out to 6,324 people and Mr. Suresh KV going back and forth to the city with T-shirts and bands. We tried to cover through small means, which resulted addition counts, due to the occasion of Ramadan and Eid. The Govern-ment did support the Cause but didn’t manage to unite events along with us due some issues in the 8 MDG. Therefore, every single count we managed was only by our AOL members and only the appro-val of the Government-in means of transportation by Guru’s Grace. Thanks to the Government con-firmation & UN letter, we were able to achieve the count. But all this HAPPENED because of Guru’s words echoing every step in our ear-WE CAN! JAI GURUDEV!

The whole project developed so spontaneously, yet so efficient. It all started with a meeting on September 6, and since then we had three coordinators, each contributing at a certain period, a great deal. Than we had a small core group of dedicated volunteers that sometimes worked for daily bread on day and did seva at night time. And when on the 17th a lot of other seva volunteers came to help the event run smoothly I was amazed how beautifully this project worked for me with few simple knowledge guidelines: 1. You are not required to do what you cannot do; 2. Do selfless service; 3. You are not the doer; 4. Do not see intention in other peoples mistakes; 5. Accept people and situations as they are; 6. Do your hundred percent….this guidelines helped me
a lot and made this an unforgettable experience.

A big thank you to all the people & organizations that partici-pated and especially those who helped in making this
