Note: There are 2 of each of the 21 different fabrics in each charm pack. The whites charm pack has 4 of each and 5 each of 9394 and 8210. In addition to these charm packs you will need one 5" strip of a white design cut into (8) 5" squares to complete this design.


Seasons Quilt – by Maywood Studio

Please read all instructions before you begin. Seam allowance is 1/4" unless otherwise stated. Use a light sizing/starch on the squares before cutting HSTs to help with the bias edges.

Trim all HSTs to 4-1/2" square. Tip: The Winter block uses charms from Summer and Fall. Separate these and your white charms

for each season before you begin. Make for mini quilts with each season for a fun alternate project.

1. Pair up your charm squares as indicated in the instructions. Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on the wrong side of one charm square.

3. Square each HST unit to 4-1/2". Press in opposite directions and toward the colorful squares when possible.

2. Place the charm squares right sides together (RST).Sew 1/4" on either side of the marked diagonal line.

Cut across from corner to corner on the original diagonal line so you have two HST units.

5. Layer the backing (wrong side up), batting and quilt top (right side up). Baste layers to secure. Quilt as desired.Trim the excess backing and batting.

6. Sew the binding strips together into one continuous strip. Press in half length-wise. Sew the binding to the quilt top with a 3/8” seam allowance, mitering the corners. Turn the binding to the back side of the quilt and stitch down by hand with matching thread.

4. Sew the Summer block to the Spring block and the Winter block to the Fall block, then sew the rows together. Press seams open.
