2 HYDRAULICS

2.1 MECHANICALLY-ACTUATEDSELECTIVE CONTROL VALVES -

M-SCV

The M-SCVs provide a full range of features whichgives the flexibility to operate all hydraulic equipmenton the farm. The M-SCVs are located at the rear of thetractor. The selective control valves may be used inany of the available positions.

Three different M-SCV versions are available:100 Series, 200 Series or 300 Series. These M-SCVscan only be used with PFC hydraulic system withaxial piston pump.

The M-SCV field kit contains as well thecorresponding quick couplers. The below listedactuating parts have to be ordered separately accordingto the mounting position of the M-SCV and this partsinclude the new color-coded dust protection housings.

Additional hydraulic oil reservoir 14 litresMore and more applications require the use ofhydraulic components. Big trailers with telescopiccylinders, for example, easily require 30 litres or moreof hydraulic oil to dump the trailer’s platform.

To increase the amount of hydraulic oil at yourdisposal for such applications, John Deere offers anadditional hydraulic oil reservoir for easy fieldinstallation on 6030 Series Premium tractors. Thesereservoir provide additional 14 litres of hydraulic oil toincrease the withdrawal capacity of your hydraulicsystem.

Battery cut-off switchPerformance and power are very important for yourdaily work with agricultural machinery, but sometimespower needs to be cut off. For example, when thetractor is left unattended or during welding operations,when special safety measures need to be considered,the battery should be shut down.

Therefore John Deere offers battery cut-off switchesfor field installation. These kits protect the batteryfrom damage resulting from short circuits as well asfrom discharging due to monitors or radios leftswitched on when the engine is turned off. As a visualstatus indicator a LED lamp is turned on when batteryis connected.

In addition to this, conversion kits are availableallowing to operate battery cut-off switchesconveniently from inside the cab and to react evenmore quickly in case of emergency. The field office for the 6030 Series Premium tractors isa large portfolio pouch where papers, operatormanuals, music cassettes, personal notes andimplements information, or even a laptop computercan be stored.

5.5 BRAKES AND STEERING

Hydraulic trailer brakeThe hydraulic trailer brake system gives a powerful,safe braking function. The tractor brake-pedal operatedsystem gives a trailer braking function proportional tothe pressure applied to the pedal.

Pneumatic trailer brakeThe pneumatic trailer brake system consists basicallyof a two line system. This is the same as used today oncommercial vehicles.

Pre-braking function:• short brake pedal travel allows braking of the

trailer without braking the tractor. This feature isrequired to control the trailer and prevent jackknifing.

• A quick release valve opens the trailer brakeimmediately after release of the brake pedal forbetter acceleration.

Single line systems for pneumatic trailer brakes areavailable as well. These kits are supplementary to thedual-line systems, they can not be used stand alone.The dual-line system has to be installed first before thesingle line system should be ordered.

The field kits below permit the tractor to be retro-fittedwith a pneumatic trailer brake system. The pneumatictrailer brake system may be installed only on tractorsequipped with a handbrake.

5.6 STORAGETool boxAn external detachable and lockable tool box withconvenient carrying handle is located in front of thecab. It has the capacity to hold tools and a selection oflinkage balls, hitch pins and linchpins for implementattachment.

Additional storage container - 45l

With a capacity of 45 l and a 45 kg maximum payloadthis sheet metal storage container offers additionalspace, e.g. for rubber boots, oil cans, bulky tools,grease guns etc.

Equipped with 2 handles at the side it can easily becarried. With the help of the included quick lock pinthe container can be closed rapidly.

The fastening on the back allows a quick installation toall existing front weights: base weights, front weightsand the 900 kg / 1150 kg pick-up weights.
