Why does it seem so much easier to complain? We can let things in our lives seem so bad that it affects our spiritual, mental, and physical health along with those around us.
What if we turned things around and made them positive and realized how completely blessed we are?
We can choose to thank God for what we do have instead of what we don’t and put the phrase “I wish” behind us.
God never promised us all our days on earth would be perfect and we would have every little thing our hearts desire. He did promise to love us, to never leave us and to provide an eternal home for us. What more could we want?
Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according
to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
When you choose to look at every little detail of your life, surely you’ll find blessing upon blessing. If you woke up this morning you’ve been blessed with another day of breath. If you’re reading this article you’ve been blessed with sight.
I bet you had something to eat or drink this morning and you now have a happy belly.
Choosing to find the blessings and being thankful to God for these things changes your mindset and makes you realize how overwhelmingly blessed we are as children of God. He is so good! I encourage you to find three ways in which you have been blessed each day and take the time to thank God for these things. Take time to thank those around you who have been a blessing to you. Choose to find the positive and leave the negative behind. Even on days when it seems
impossible, there are always reasons to give thanks. ALWAYS!
1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s
will for you in Christ Jesus.
Give thanks no matter what.
“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.”
– Zig Ziglar
Count your blessings, name them one by one; Count your blessings, see what God hath done! Count your blessings, name them one by one; Count your many blessings, see what God hath done… And It will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
