March for Life 2014 The Life & Family Evangelization

Office invites youth groups, adults and families to join us on a pilgrimage to Washington D.C. to attend the March

for Life. Charter buses depart January 19 and return January 23, 2014.

St. Mary’s Altar & Rosary Society Christmas Wish List

1. A new Ice-maker for the Bales Hall kitchen used for all the parish

activities. Cost $2,400 plus installation. Altar & Rosary donated $1,000 plus Family of Praise Prayer

Group has donated $100. 2. New carpeting for the chapel in the parish center. The carpeting is

thirty years old and has been damaged by water several times. 3. New carpeting for the meeting rooms and offices in the parish

center; the carpeting is thirty years old. We are asking for your prayers to make our Wish List come true.

Merry Christmas and thank you for your continued support. Any

donations can be brought to the Parish Center office. Please mark Altar & Rosary and choose

St. Mary School Orders are being taken for granite dedication bricks engraved with a personalized message. Combined cost and donation is $125.00 per brick. 1.Prepárate al nacimiento de Cristo. Tu corazón ha de ser la mejor cuna. Tus buenas obras el mejor calor.

2. Prepara tu hogar a la llegada del Salvador. ¿Eres cristiano? No permitas que otras elementos extraños,

folclóricos y sin sentido cristiano, distorsionen lo que vamos a celebrar.

3. Enciende, cada semana de adviento, una vela de distinto color en tu hogar. Te recordará que, Jesús, está llegando y

que, tu casa, está velando.

4. La llegada de un niño supone siempre un cambio de hábitos. El adviento es un tiempo oportuno para arrojar de las casa de nuestro corazón aquello que puede estorbar a

ese niño.

5. Aprovecha estas semanas par rezar un poco más, para comprometerte en alguna causa noble o caritativa de tu

parroquia. Si Dios se hace hombre ¿no sería bueno que tú descubrieras tu buen corazón en alguien?

6. Indica a tu familia lo qué significa la Navidad. No permitas, o purifica, aquellos elementos que nos roban al

“Nino” de esos días santos y familiares.

7. Allana aquellos caminos que, la convivencia, los malos modales, las palabras fueras de tono te han podido dificultar

el encuentro con los demás. Dios, al nacer, nos pide soló eso: amor

8. Ablanda el corazón con la oración. Frecuenta un poco mas la eucaristía. Asiste con los tuyos. Si el Señor vino y se

encontró con una familia...qué menos que lo esperemos también así: en familia.

9.No pierdas la esperanza. Las dificultades ni los problemas se desvanecen de la noche a la mañana. Pero, un cristiano

sin esperanza, resulta ser como un arpa sin cuerdas: no anima cuando es requerida su música.

10. No dejes de soñar. Si el Señor se hace hombre como nosotros es porque tiene un sueño: que seamos hermanos,

que salgamos a su encuentro con el deseo de amarle.
