Our Bike Park is nowadays considered to be one of the best Bike Parks in the Alps (created in july 2004 the first in France): it caters for all aspects of mountain biking, with a high area full of single-track trails and extensive freeriding trails and a lower, more easily accessible area where there are banked turns and other mounds to keep all riders happy.The Bike Park is made up of: › 14 downhill routes includind 1 Noth Shore-style track› 2 Enduro trails› 1 Kid’s area› 1 slopestyle area
Test the «Ride N’ Red» red slope created in 2015: 4 km long with a 630 m height difference, which will leave from the top of Pousterle and join the Gawaline, Jethro and Rockets trails. A smooth ride and quite wide, the upper section will be equipped with numerous jumps (with escape tracks at every jump), ending with a narrow single-track trail following the lie of the land (an enduro-type track).
› 9 july: Les Orres Mountain Bike Trophy (4th round). The resort is a partner for the 2nd consecutive year of mountain bike trophy.
› 10 July: Provence Challenge XC. The resort hosts the 7th round of this competition (cross country)
› 9 and 10 july: Provence Downhill (Mountain Bike) Championship.This competition brings together the Youth, Junior, Senior and Master categories.
› 23 and 24 july: Enduro Series Round / 2016 Enduro French Cup. In 2011, the Enduro Series was ac-credited by the French Cycling Fede-ration (FFC) to become officially the Enduro Mountain Bike French Cup.

It is possible to ride down to Lake Serre-Ponçon on various Enduro-type trails from the top of the ski lifts, with a height difference of about 1,800 m. With trails needing single-track techniques to more easily accessible trails for the less adventurous! As a bonus, it is possible to return to the resort with your mountain bike in a shuttle bus on Wednesdays (advance booking required with 05 Voyageurs +33(0)4 92 502 505).

Take «La voie des sages» footpath from Bois Méan, for example, for a 45-minute walk or go as far as the Jerusalem springs in 1.5 hours.
Taking a chairlift in summer is good fun and, like being on a big wheel, you will be able to admire the landscape from high up and the view over Lake Serre-Ponçon.
Prélongis chairlift (arrival at 1,900 m) will open for the weekend of 18/19 and 25/26 June and both Prélongis et Pousterle (2,530 m) chairlifts without interruption from 2 july to 28 August and Prélongis only on 3/4, 11/10 and 17/18 September 2016.

ARE YOU REALLY ATHLETIC? Set yourself the challenge of walking up to the Pic du Boussolenc, at an altitude of 2,832 m, which leaves from Resort Centre 1650 and will take you around 5.5 hours (return). Also try climbing up to the Col de l’Aupillon which reaches 2,916 m at its highest point and allow about 4 hours for the return hike.

› At the Pousterle chairlift arrival point, take the floral trail which will teach you to recognise and name the various flowers that you will come across on your way. Continue towards the curiosity trail and discover the secrets of the flora and fauna as well as the specific species in your resort. › From the resort centre, take the Lou Pastre footpath. This educational ramble will take you for a stroll through the hamlets of Les Orres. Nine explanatory panels will help you to discover the close link between the inhabitants of Les Orres and their region. 2 routes: The big loop taking 4/5 hours (16 km) or the small loop taking 1.5 hours (5.5 km). The starting point is at the Epervière car park in Resort Centre 1650. There are other starting points in the hamlets. Follow the shepherd’s waymarking
(changed trail 2016): 1.5 hours: Average difficulty. Departure from the top of Pousterle chairliftTrail along the ridge to the orientation table (not recommended for people with a fear of heights) Steps carved in the earth, hand rail on some passages. The trail runs alongside the mountain biking tracks at the top, offering you a spectacular view over the cirque of Lake Sainte Marguerite, the Vallon du Muretier, the valley of Les Orres and the Embrun region. After the table, the path meanders through trees from Sainte Marguerite run, then you can reach Les Orres resort 1800 or the top of the Prélongis chairlift.

1 hour: Average difficulty. Departure from the top of Pousterle chairliftPath running alongside the Pousterle ski slope. It overlooks Les Orres 1800 and 1650 before making its way into a forest of larch trees. It runs alongside an erratic little mountain stream that will guide you to the arrival point of the Prélongis chairlift.

Départ Departure from the top of Pousterle chairlift (not recommended for people with a fear of heights).Take the curiosity trail to the arrival of Crêtes chairlift, follow the orange dots to the top of BOUSSOLENC (2832 m). Spectacular view over the valley of Embrun, Serre-Ponçon lake, Ecrins national parc, Queyras regional parc, and Ubaye tops. Return by the same route that the go.

The Tourist Information Office has introduced an all-terrain pushchair hire service and a list of footpaths that have been specially chosen for their ease of access. Pushchairs can be hired for a day (€ 5) in return for a deposit of € 380 accompanied by an identity paper (subject to available stock). No advance booking needed.

From Ribes to the chapel of Saint-Pierre (1.5 hours) From the resort, drive down to the hamlet of Les Ribes. Turn right by the bridge. Follow the Grand Vallon forest road and park by the Pont du Clot (Clot bridge). From there, it is about 1.5 hours’ walk to the chapel of Saint-Pierre. Average difficulty.
ROUTE 1
Pra Païsset (drinking troughs) (1.5 hours). From the resort centre, take the road to Bois Méan. Park in the Pra Païsset car park. Follow the footpath in the direction of the Sources de Jérusalem (Jerusalem Springs) and the Via Ferratas. Walk to the cabin and the drinking troughs (about 30 minutes one way). Come back along the same footpath.
ROUTE 2
Le Méale. Drive to Les Orres administrative centre. Behind the church, follow (still in the car) the «Méale» signposting and park in the «Forêt domaniale du Pouzenc» car park. From here, there is a pleasant track with very little height difference offering a magnificent panorama over Lake Serre-Ponçon. A return walk in the shade of larch trees.
ROUTE 3
Le Chef-lieu (on an asphalt road). Leaving from the village square, go through the administrative centre, turn right by the museum and follow the asphalt road to «Le Château» hamlet (about 3 km). Come back along the same footpath.
