Henry NguyenCurators’ Distinguished Professor,
University of Missouri-Columbia, USA
Prof. Henry Nguyen is known for his distin-guished career in plant genetics and biotechnol-ogy research and teaching, and is international-ly recognized for his pioneering work on plant adaptation to stress environment and crop resil-ience.
Conference Co-chair
This conference will focus on promoting the use of plant genetic and genomics resources for crop improvement and discuss the scientific advancements in crop genome editing, socio- economic narratives, ethics and regulations in global agriculture. Special emphasis will be givenon addressing challenges associated with plant gene editing, e.g. what, how and what not to edit, off-target effects, major bottlenecks in efficiencyimprovement, delivery systems and so on.
The two-day event will provide a uniqueopportunity to young professionals, scholars and the leading opinion makers from academiaand industry to discuss the scientific advances with a viewpoint to integrate crop germplasmwith new breeding strategies including genomeengineering for combining increased productivitywith climate resilience and nutrition for feeding the world in the 21st century.
