The 5th European Congress for Integrative Medicine will take place in Florence (Italy) on September 21-22, 2012.The opening ceremony will be held at Salonedei Cinquecento - Palazzo Vecchio on September 20.

The Congress is promoted by the Tuscan Region - Tuscan Network for Integrative Medicine, University of Florence, Chamber of Medical Doctors and Dentists of Florence with the Charité University of Berlin, in co-operation with the other Tuscan Universities, the Regional Agency of Health, with the patronage of European and international societies and institutions.

This is the main European and international event for physicians, healthcare and wellness professionals, researchers, and sponsors about the efficacy of complementary/unconventional medicines and practices and their integration with orthodox medicine.

The aim of ECIM 2012 is to link researchers and medical doctors in order to promote a constructive dialogue and discussion about the clinical efficacy and the methodology of medical care, research and education. Not only to disseminate the experiences of integration of complementary medicine into the National Health Services but also to aim at the real integration with the medicine also by drawing up appropriate guidelines.
