Council has partnered with The Lile Blue Dinosaur Foundaon (LBD) to support the Hold My Hand Project. Colourful Signs have been erected at local schools and preschools reminding parents and young children to take care when crossing roads. The Lile Blue Dinosaur campaign is targeng motorists to slow down and be aware of unpredictable children near roadways. It is strongly recommended by Australian road safety experts that children aged 10 years and under should always have their hand held by an adult when out and about in our traffic The extension to the taxiway at the Cootamundra aerodrome is now complete. This work was carried out to assist with the refilling of water tankers by RFS for firefighng purposes. Council s resealing contractor Boral is connuing with resealing on this years priorised roads. Patching around the bitumen road network is being undertaken as required. Road side spraying and slashing connues around the council area. Works have commenced on relaying pipes for upgrading of the Olympic Highway between Back Brawlin Road and Dirnaseer Road. Several trees have been removed, for safety reasons, as part of the project. Shoulder widening on Yeo Yeo Hampstead Road is progressing with earthworks now complete. Sealing of these shoulders will take place in early December. This work is funded from the Roads to Recovery program. Work has progressed on concrete lining of the open drain along Boundary Road. The first secon between Malda Avenue and Adams Street has been poured with final headwalls work sll to be completed. Heavy patching works are expected to commence early December along secons of the Burley Griffin Way near Stockinbingal. This work has been priorised by the RMS to remediate failed secons of pavement. While these works are underway, Motorist are asked to obey the direcons of the traffic control and may experience short delays. Works are connuing at the intersecon of Sheridan and West Streets; drainage is now complete, concrete kerb and guer has been installed, shoulders have been filled and asphalt placed. Preliminary works are in progress at Tor St with services located and design modified in preparaon for new kerb and guer and stormwater drainage installaon. Work is nearing compleon at OHagan St where a 600mm stormwater pipe is being installed to address ongoing issues with localised flooding. The grader and stabiliser crew have completed work at Soldiers Selers and Sommerset Roads to improve pavement condion and shape. Works is in progress at Bridge St Muama. Maintenance grading has been completed at Wambidgee Road, Hoares Lane and is connuing along the Old Hume Highway. Work has recommenced on Adjungbilly Rd with rock lining of table drains connuing in preparaon of final stabilisaon and sealing prior to Christmas. COMPANION ANIMALS Residents are reminded cats and dogs over 12 weeks of age OR prior to being sold/given away must be microchipped, this includes working dogs. All cats and dogs must be registered with the Council by the age of 6 months. This is a lifeme registraon fee which stays with the animals for life. Discounted registraon fees apply to desexed cats or dogs. A further reminder dogs must be under the effecve control of the owner, or whoever is in charge of the animal, at all mes. If your dog defecates in a public place or on someone else's property, you must remove the faeces immediately and dispose of them properly - If you fail to pick up aſter your dog, you or the person in charge of the dog at the me may be liable for a max penalty of $880 Friday 6th December 2019 5pm-8pm - Sheridan Street Gundagai

Cootamundra Water Main Replacement Project

All new mains are now in service. Work will now concentrated on restoration and other
