Genii Awards

Alliance for Women in Media Southern California (AWMSoCal), founded in 1952, is part of a national, non-profitorganization whose mission is to advance the impact of women

in electronic media and allied fields by educating, advocatingand acting as a resource to its members and the industry. AWMSoCal works to improve the quality of broadcast programming,

entertainment and online content and to provide promisingcollege students -- both women and men -- with scholarships to

help further their studies in media or entertainment.

Proceeds from the Genii Awards benefit AWM SoCal’sscholarship program, which provides financial assistance topromising college students aiming for careers in media and
