and Hotel Reservations come forth in a timely manner, it gives your Re-union Committee a warm, cozy feel-ing that our Hotel Room Block num-bers are looking good, and we are in

a comfortable position to meet our ongoing obligations. Your payment by check of the Registration/Events fees is encouraged, as that minimizes credit card fees and helps us with our bookkeeping.

This Bulletin will highlight our 57Reunion57 Schedule of Events, along with featuring information concerning San Diego and Coro-nado that is available on the cities’ websites. We want you to be well in-formed.

One final thought---Coronado Marriott reservations can be made for dates prior to, and following our scheduled 13-16 Oct Reunion dates, at the $169 rate. Those dates are 10/11/12 Oct, and 17/18/19 Oct.

The fervent wish from The Madouse House is that the Ground Hog will provide so many of you Good News about the Winter Of Your Discontent. It is time to dismiss those frozen thoughts, and focus on the sunshine and good times that await you in Coronado in October.

57Reunion57 Planning is moving Full Speed Ahead!

Response to our Reunion Mailer in November & December was very encouraging. Then the Deep Freeze of January slowed us down a bit. Your Reunion Committee set a re-alistic goal for the number of Class-mates attending. Currently, we have one-third of that goal signed up. Now it’s time for the Big Push! The committee has scheduled a number of events during our re-union October 13-17, 2014, but has deliberately allowed some time for individuals to choose their own ac-tivities. When you arrive, you will

be given handouts that will provide information about restaurants, at-tractions, and events in the area. They will include the SAN DIEGO Magazine that is the official visitor guide to the city, and local maps.

Pamphlets on attractions such as the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and Bal-boa Park will be available. You will also be given a Coronado Visitors Guide. The Coronado information

San Diego & Coronado Attractions!contained in the guide is similar to that of the SAN DIEGO Magazine.

If you would like to look ahead and do some planning now for your visit, the committee suggests that you visit:

www.sandiego.org

You will find current information on transportation, what to do (in-

cluding restaurants and attractions), and events that will be updated regu-larly. It is a nice site, easy to navigate and provides a wealth of informa-tion on happenings in and around San Diego.

There are two informational web-sites for visitors to Coronado. The first site is:

www.coronadovisitorcenter.com

Like the San Diego site it is a de-tailed guide on what to see and do in Coronado. It focuses on history, events, restaurants, shopping, and tours. It has transportation guides and maps.

The second site is:

www.ecoronado.com

It is the most read newspaper and community events website in Coro-

nado. It also has links with Corona-do history sites and a vast collection of photos describing the Crown City and surrounding area.
