Training Questions to Consider• What type of training am I going to deliver?• Is this the best way to train? (skill vs. knowledge)• How important is the ability to customize the training?• Do I have ongoing support resources? How important is

this need?• What’s my budget? • Would I rather fix my car or pay a mechanic?• Is eLearning a must or a cool thing to have?• Is the training build on solid ADDIE principles or did

eLearning get in the way?

Page 21: 5.5 ways to be awesome

Authoring Tool Questions to Consider• How much interactivity is needed?• How much time to I have to develop courses?• How important is it to create variables?• How important is ease of use?• What types of media will I use?• What is the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the

authoring tool?• What type or types of platforms will I use?• Will the training require plug-ins or a special codec?

http://www.pcworld.com/article/187877/photo_editing_basics_working_with_layers.html

“Layers: The Basic Concept Imagine taking two photos and laying one on top of the other. You can't see the one on the bottom, of course. But suppose that you could make the top photo somewhat transparent, so that the other photo showed through. That, in a nutshell, is the concept of layers.

In most photo editing programs, you can add as many layers as you like, and you can vary the opacity of each layer: The lower the opacity, the more readily visible the underlying layers will be. A layer can be composed of almost anything. You can layer two different photos, or two copies of the same photo. A layer may even be a solid color. You usually control your layers by working with a Layer Palette, such as this one in Adobe Photoshop Elements.”
