Lost and found is further divided into two group

Perishable Items: Stored for one to two days

Non perishable Items: Non valuable are stored

for three to six months, Valuables are kept for9 months to a year

The lost and found articles should be handed

over to housekeeping desk (or according to the

house custom)

Each article is given a serial number ,all the

details should be mentioned in lost and found

slip(3 copies)

All the articles are entered in the system and in

the lost and found register

Lost and found is then stored in transparent bagin proper storage area along with original slip

The second copy of lost and found is sent to thefront office and third copy is filed for records

himself or through his representative ,signature

must be taken in the appropriate registerIncase the article is sent by mail ,the postal

receipt number and the date of dispatch must be

entered in the register
