Class A Recognition Key
SORCE SERVICES LLC CLASS A RACE Drivers ages 6, 7, and 8
Each driver gets one practice run that does not count in competition.
Class S racing is on a double-elimination basis. Class A, B & C racing is on a triple-elimination basis.
The six fastest cars in each Class A, B, and C become “finalists” and compete in the finals racing for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place within their class. The 1st place finishers in each Class A, B, and C then go on to compete for the title of “Champion of Champions.”
All decisions made by the Technical Committee and the Chief Steward are final.
Drivers have the option to use their car numbers from last year, or choose new car numbers on a first-pick basis. Car number 1 is reserved for the defending “Champion of Champions.” Drivers randomly draw for their sponsors each year on a first-pick basis. Sponsors are not carried over year-to-year.
Drivers and crews select their own wheels and axle brackets from Commission-supplied stock. At the end of the event, the Champion’s wheels and axle brackets are locked-up and are taken out of circulation for one year.

CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS
The NEW BERLIN SOAP BOX DERBY is always looking for more DRIVERS
Driver numbers have been down for a couple of years and we always have room for more kids to have fun! We’re appealing to past drivers to return, asking everyone to talk-up this great event with friends and neighbors, and we’re especially asking this year’s drivers to take advantage of our “RACING BUDDY PROGRAM” for getting new drivers to sign up for next year.
Are you interested in racing in the New Berlin Soap Box Derby but don’t have the time or skills to build a car? The Commission has a FREE CAR LOAN PROGRAM that you can take advantage of. Each year, a limited number of cars are available for free loan on a first-come, first-pick basis. Please check our website for details on car loans for next year’s race.
If you and your family don’t live in New Berlin, but your kids are interested in qualifying as a driver and racing in this event, we have a plan to make that happen: Become a Commission member!!!
Attend monthly meetings, help us help the Lions at the New Berlin Lions Club corn roast, (at the State Fair), participate in our promotional events, and work with us on race weekend. Make new friends and be a part of this wonderful racing event.
Talk to a Commission member today, or contact any of the following for details:
Chris Lambach (262) 971-9850 – David Doern at (414) 379-9148 – Dan Miron (262) 971-1069
