The class of 2016 will aend 50 different colleg- es in 18 different states! Partnerships for Success club served meals at the Red Cross Emergency Housing in Xenia 5 mes. They collected coats, miens & scarves for Carl's Coats for Kids and collected over 1,000 items for the St. Vin- cent de Paul homeless shelter. With the Park District they put on Christmas in the Park. Through the bake sale they raised money to buy Christmas presents for 2 families in need. They also volunteered at Hallow- een in the Park & Sugar Maple Fesval, helping to bag 1,100 trees to give away. Key Club raised over $1800 to benefit the Migrant Offshore Aid Staon. They coordinated and spon- sored the blood drive at BHS in December 2015, volunteered for Shoes 4 the Shoeless, the Homework Help program and Bellbrook Buddy program. They also parcipated in Walk a mile in Their Shoes and Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, serving meals at Caring Place as well as much more. Guest Speaker Bol Aweng presented to the enre school about his experience growing up in war torn Sudan. Aweng, a Lost Boy from South Sudan, cur- rently lives and works in Columbus OH. He spoke to the students about the conflict in Sudan, the other boys he traveled with, and how he survived. Aſter- ward, the sophomores who studied the book They Poured Fire on Us from the Sky asked Aweng ques- ons about his journey, his life in Sudan, and his new life in the US. The students enjoyed hearing from such an incredible young man who had sur- vived the very subject they had been studying. * 293 students took PLTW classes in 2015-2016 * 273 are enrolled in PLTW at BHS for 2016-2017 * 34 students earned college credit by compleng the Supply Chain Management CC+ course. * 278 AP tests were taken in 15 different AP subject areas. In 2015, 87% of AP tests taken received a score of 3 or beer. * 20 students parcipated in the school newspaper and by May 11 wrote 225 arcles. The online site has received 17,329 views. On Dec 4, 2015, they earned their highest ever in one day, 501 views. Hundreds of students wrote peace prize nominations for their classmates and each one was delivered to the intended recipi-ent.

Rob Johnson, head coach Swim & Dive, was the DII Swim & Dive All-Ohio Coach of the Year; Bobby Kosins, head coach Wrestling, was the DII Wrestling All-Ohio Coach of the Year.

Girls Basketball team finished the season with a record of 26-1 and were District Champions.

2015-16 SWBL Championship teams include Boys Soccer, Girls Tennis, and Girls Basketball.

Track and Field: At the Division 1 District meet the girls team placed 3rd overall as a team, the highest place for a Bellbrook girls team.

The 2015 Marching Eagles had a 3rd place season finish in their local MSBA circuit and a 4th place finish at the BOA Nationals in Indy with their show titled “Under Lock & Key”.

The 2015-16 school year included OMEA adjudications, in which most of our musicians were rated excellent and many community performances.

Swimming: Megan Bobick finished 5th in 100 freestyle, 13th in 200 freestyle. Holly Hulett placed 7th in 100 backstroke. The boys team finished 7th in the state while the girls team finished 20th, both out of 150+ teams. These are the highest team finishes ever.

The orchestra performed with the Spring High School Musical “Mary Poppins” as well as at many home orchestra and choir concerts.

IPE finished ranked 11th out of 43 in the world after a stellar performance in Finals at the WGI World Championship. Bellbrook’s World Guard Win-ter Guard finished their season ranked 20th in the World.

Girls tennis won the SWBL for the second straight season. Rachel Heinz and Andrea Szep won the sectional tournament in doubles and qualified for the district tournament in Mason.

Bellbrook High School, with a student population of 890, is located in Greene County, southeast of Dayton, Ohio. It is the high school of the Sugarcreek Local School District. The district is rural and

suburban and consists of the City of Bellbrook (population 7000) and Sugarcreek Township (population 6630). Our residents, mostly involved in business, professional and military careers, enjoy the scenic and

Scholarship courses are offered in Math at all grade levels. Grades earned in these courses receive extra weighting for GPA. Career Education Programs: Bellbrook High School is affiliated with The Greene County Career Center located just outside of Xenia, Ohio. GCCC offers over 20 program choices. Project Lead the Way, a national pre-college engineering program, allows BHS students exposure to the field of Engineering. We are very pleased to be affiliated with this progressive curriculum as it further diversifies, expands and enhances choices for our students. College Credit Option: Students may take courses offered by local colleges/universities, as well as cours-es taught at BHS for college credit. High school and college credit is awarded and grades are included in the final GPA.
