Pastor’s Notes:

This coming weekend is our

Family Picnic. Saturday, from

12:30 unto 3:00 PM, we want

you and your family to join us on the new

property. Weather permitting, we will have a

wonderful time. You need to bring everything you

could want or need: You bring your own food,

drinks, ice, chairs, tent, football, whatever…….All

the church is providing is the place to meet. Please

take some time to meet with us and let’s enjoy some

time with our family and some time with our church

family. The schedule is as follows (please

understand this is tentative and flexible): 12:30 –

1:30 – Set up your tailgating area and enjoy lunch;

1:30 – 2:15 – There will be an area where you and your family can enjoy some games together

(kickball, corn hole, volleyball, horse shoes, etc.); 2:15 – 3:00 – Family games, with competition

between families (sack races, 3 legged races, etc) – Prize will be awarded to the winning

family!!!! 3:00 – Gather around the crosses and the altar for a time of family prayer before we

leave. It is going to be a wonderful time. Hope to see you and your family there!!!!!!!

Sunday Morning, we will be honoring our graduates. It is hard to believe that another school

year has come and gone. I cannot tell you how important it is for all of us to support our youth

people on special days like this. These are milestones in their lives and they want to know that

their spiritual family supports them as they transition from one stage of their life to another.

Please….make sure you are here Sunday to support them!

We are always in need to some volunteers to help us in areas of ministry. Now every

“ministry” is not a classroom or passing the offering plate. Yet each area is important and

provides such a help in making our church appealing to the people who walk through our doors.

If you want to help your church, you want a place to service and you are dependable and faithful,

please see Bro. Terry ASAP.

There will be an opportunity for Church Membership the last Sunday of this month. If you

have been attending our church and would like to make Woodruff Church of God your home or

if you just want some information about us, please meet Pastor Terry Sunday morning, May 25

at 9:30 AM. Come to the CLC and come through the door marked “STAFF”. The room straight

in front of you is where we will meet. On behalf of Lisa and myself, our staff and the rest of our

congregation, WELCOME!!!!!!!

All men!!!!! If you were not at the Band Of Brothers meeting last Thursday, not only did you miss being in the company of some outstanding men of God, and having some awesome food but most of all, you really missed a great lesson from the word of God. Brother Rob Laster..... You did an outstanding job teaching us how "Real Men" are not afraid to humble themselves and ask their brothers for spiritual help. And even though we are fighting various battles of our own, "Real Men" stand alongside each other and WE FIGHT TOGETHER. The lesson is found in Exodus 17, when Moses had to have help from Aaron and Hur to insure victory over the enemy. Go get your Bible right now and READ IT! I dare you to read it! Better yet, I challenge you to start living it! We need you as our brothers. We are trying to plan a guided fishing trip to Santee in the very near future so watch the bulletin for details.

Both sheets will be on the board by this Wednesday night. Senior Adult Retreat: If you have signed up and paid your registration fee, you are all set for the retreat. The date for the retreat is May 23-24, and the location is the Camp Grounds in Mauldin.

Our May activity will be a food eating competition on Friday the 30th at 6:00 with location to be announced. We will discover who can eat the most donuts, marshmallows, oreo cookies, bananas, hot sauces, brain freezes, and crackers. We will also have a food fight/pie throwing contest and prizes will be awarded for each competition. Please sign-up if you are coming and also sign-up in all the categories in which you would like to compete so we have enough food. Bring some friends and have a lot of fun with food.
