Heraeus 5 W FiberLight® Xe efficiently convert electrical energy into high intensity light flashes. They are compact stand-alone units that can be operated on 12 V or 24 V input and up to a lamp power consumption of 5 W. The modules comprise of a xenon flash lamp, power supply and connections fully enclosed in a metal housing. Heraeus 5 W FiberLight® Xe provide a broad continuous UV-VIS spectrum with very good flash to flash stability due to carefully selected electrode materials and design. In addition to their long service life, this makes them the ideal light source for UV-VIS and fluorescence spectroscopy, as well as online process monitoring or thin film measurement.
5 W FiberLight® Xe Benefits Broad spectral range (190 – 1100 nm) for single
light source design of instruments reduces costs Low noise and high stability light output
(< 2 % CV) for analytical perfection Plug & Play: compact unit with 9-pin D-sub
connector for faster instrument design Long lifetime (> 109 flashes) reduces
maintenance costs SMA fibre connector versions available
Applications for FiberLight® XeWhilst xenon lamps are suitable for many white light industrial applications, the high quality, high performance range of Heraeus 5 W FiberLight® Xe is expressly intended for photometric instrumentation applications such as: UV-VIS spectroscopy Fluorescence spectroscopy Liquid chromatography Thin Film Measurement Semiconductor Inspection Medical Analysers

Heraeus offers a wide variety of 5 W FiberLight® Xe with different beam options. There are side-on and end-on emitting systems available, each with an option of either vertical or horizontal arranged electrodes. The electrode orientation is measured against the longitudinal axis of the module. This way you can choose a lamp module which exactly matches the optical requirements of your system. In addition to these standard options, Heraeus manufactures xenon flash lamp modules with a SMA connector. These modules are equipped with a pre-aligned SMA905 fibre connector that efficiently couples the light of the module into the optical fibre. This makes integration into analytical equipment even simpler and faster.

The Optics and Analytics division of Heraeus Noblelight (business segment specialty lighting sources) develops and manufactures lamps and power supplies for a broad spectrum of analytical applications. Using our advanced capabilities, we have developed lamp technologies that combine maximum stability with long operating life. At 2 x 10-5 AU, the noise characteristics of our deuterium lamps are significantly better than conventional ones.
Our new ELP (Enhanced Lifetime Performance) technology guarantees twice the intensity of conventional deuterium lamps at the end of lamp life. This means that the results of your analysis will be more consistent and will benefit from a higher degree of confidence in chemical detection. Profit from the acknowledged Heraeus quality. The patented miniature deuterium lamp, FiberLight, is ideal for small, portable, battery- powered instruments designed for in-field and on-line analysis. At only 6 W, it has the lowest power consumption in the world and is the only deuterium lamp with instant-on and no reduction in life from multiple ignitions. The advantage to you: lower Cost-of-Ownership through more analyses per battery set and no unproductive down-time. Comprehensive testing of all our light sources ensures they meet specifications, for example in terms of intensity, ignition voltage and life-time. This gives you total functional security and reliability for your analysis. Uniquely positioned with the widest range of specialist analytical lamps, Heraeus can supply high quality lamps for all leading instrument brands.
For example, our hollow cathode lamps include more than 70 single- and 120 multi-element lamps in low- and high-current 37 mm and 50 mm versions.
Our worldwide sales and dealer network ensures that lamps are easily available with quick delivery. Benefit from Heraeus – reduce your Cost-of-Ownership, extend your service intervals and simplify your supply-chain.
