5 tips to success at ces 2015
TRANSCRIPT
#1 Plan Ahead – Way Ahead Strategy is key!
What is your message and how will you get it out there?
What’s the onsite product giveaway and where will you
hold media interviews?
What’s in your press kit and who’s posting on Facebook
while at the show?
Don’t wait until December to decide your strategy.
#2 Don’t Wait to Network A month before the show, exhibitors will have the press list
in their hands to scope out who could potentially stop by
their booth.
But why wait a month to see who shows up?
Start sorting your list based on media contacts that make
sense for your brand, for your product, and begin to network
as soon as possible to schedule media interviews at your
booth.
#3 Always Be Ready to Host Show days are long and tiring.
Always be ready to present your product, your value
proposition, and be prepped to talk to media on the fly with
your PR pro by your side.
One misquote or mishandling of a media person could cost you
your whole show.
#4 Expand Your Reach Online At it’s heart, CES is primarily media folks scoping out tech for
the new year, meaning it could take a lot of effort to get your
average consumer involved in what you’re doing at the show.
Include a social media campaign to run alongside your onsite
efforts to keep your audience engaged and in the know.
#5 Strong Follow Up CES is overwhelming for everyone.
Following up with media you met with at the show is key to
ensuring that you cut through the noise.
What happens in Vegas should not stay in Vegas.
