Fifth grade picnic schedule

8:45 AM Students leave for the park

9:00 AM Students arrive

9:15 AM First game

9:30 AM Second game (Rotate)

9:45 AM Third game (Rotate)

10:15 AM Last Game (Rotate)

Location• All games will be played in the large field in

Webb Bridge Park. Park in second parking lot.

Game Location

Game Stations

• There will be 5 stations setup in the large field.– Station 1 Obstacle Course– Station 2 Blob Tag– Station 3 2 Arm Race– Station 4 Potato Sack Race– Station 5 Dress Up Race

• The 5 classes will rotate from station to station at 15 minute intervals.

• Main event will be the Tug of War at 10:30am.

Class Rotation

• The classes will be assigned stations to start the rotation at 9:10 am.– Station 1 Obstacle Course (Bolnick)– Station 2 Blob Tag (Palermo)– Station 3 2 Arm Race (Lorey)– Station 4 Potato Sack Race (Medved)– Station 5 Dress Up Race (McKown)

Station 1 Obstacle Course• Supplies Needed: Must make 2 identical stations for race!

Cones (6) Tennis Balls (4)Hula Hoops (4) Spoons (4) Golf Balls (4)

Setup:• Split class into two groups and have them run the obstacle

course when the first person gets to end they must run the ball back to person waiting in line.

3. Walk with Tennis ball between knees and

jump in hoop at end.1. Hop on one leg

Station 2 Blob Tag

• Supplies Needed: NoneSetup:• Stake out a boundary to prevent the kids from running all

over the field.• Pick someone to be “it”. As they tag kids, they must interlock

one arm. Keep going until the tagged kids become a blob. If they can’t catch some kids they win!!!

• If first round is quick, play again.

Station 3 Two Arm Race• Supplies Needed:

Extra Large T-Shirts Cones (4)Setup:• Just like 3 legged race, but a using a large shirt for two people.

Split class in two and let them pair up. First pair puts shirt on without each of their outside arms through, run to cone and back, hand shirt to next pair.

• First line to finish wins!!!!• Do boys vs. girls for second play

Station 4 Potato Sack Race• Supplies Needed:

Potato Sacks Cones (4)Setup:• Split class into two equal groups. Then split each group again

and put half at one cone and half at the other. Each teammate will race to one cone and another teammate will hop back. First to have everyone race wins.

Station 5 Dress-up Race• Supplies Needed:

Four large piles of mixed adult clothes Cones (4)Setup:• Place a pile of mixed clothes at each of the 4 cones.• At the whistle, the first person must put on FOUR ITEMS from the pile.

Then he/she will run to the other cone and undress. Once the child has removed all of the adult clothes then next person in line will do the same. The team that finishes fastest wins.

• Supplies Needed:Rope Markers (cones or Ribbon)

Setup:• Classes will compete against each other. If it appears uneven

then we will have to either add or subtract from the teams.• Start with the ribbon in the center line. Teams must pull the

ribbon beyond the secondary line to declare a victory.

Tug-O-War Bracket

• The 5th grade consists of 5 classes. Single elimination.
