with these old systems—and that’s why we’re committed to making the implementation process as smooth as possible.
Our Jive team knows how to help you transition with the least amount of stress and anxiety, allowing you to enjoy the
benefits of a new phone system without any of the headache.
While every account is different, Jive has created a standard implementation process that makes transferring to the Jive
platform simpler than you would anticipate. Take a look at the way Jive has streamlined the process to getting your new
phone system up and running.

PrepareTHE SAM
Prior to starting any project, Jive assigns a service account manager (SAM)
to each client to oversee the implementation process. With the help of the
SAM, you (the client) are responsible for gathering information about your
current system and filling out the necessary paperwork. At this point in the
process, the quality and thoroughness of the paperwork that you submit to
the SAM will determine how the rest of the implementation process goes.
THE KICK-OFF CALL
Approximately one week after all the paperwork is received by the
SAM, the Jive team will meet with you in a Kick-off Call to customize an
implementation plan. At this time a Go Live date will be determined for the
implementation of your new system.
SAMOne of Jive’s certified Service Account Managers. The SAM is the first contact between Jive and the client. The SAM also remains the main point of contact for the duration of the client’s contract with Jive.
KICK-OFF CALLThe Kick-off Call is the first call between the client, the SAM, and the project management team. This call initiates the project and sets up the project timeline. Initial concerns and questions are answered during this Kick-off Call.
GO LIVE DATEThe Go Live date is the day set for the new system to take effect. All number porting, dial-plan design, and hardware setup will take place by this date in order to provide a seamless transition.

PlanDuring the Kick-off Call, the Jive team will create a 45-day plan to get
your system ready for the Go Live date. During this planning stage,
equipment will be ordered and shipped, trainings will be scheduled to
train you on how to use the system, engineering calls will be scheduled
to ensure the systems are running smoothly, and phone numbers will be
requested from current providers. While all systems require customized
planning, the chart at right is an example 45-day plan.

BuildSYSTEM CUSTOMIZATION
With the planning stage underway, the Jive team is
ready to build your individualized system. At this time,
Jive’s project management team will help you customize your phone system so that
it is perfect for your organization’s needs. Full access to Jive’s all-inclusive feature set
allows you to customize voicemail, calling privileges, and extensions so that you can
keep your phone system organized.
DIAL PLAN EDITOR
In addition to the system settings, Jive also offers an award-winning Dial Plan Editor which gives you full control of your
call flow. Under the direction and needs of the client, the project management team will use the Dial Plan Editor to
create auto attendants, schedules, and queues.
The Jive project management team is committed to getting your system fully set up and tested before the Go Live date.
Jive will also perform a thorough E911 testing to ensure that every line has emergency access.

Go LiveNow it’s time for your Jive system to Go Live. By this time, all phone numbers will have been ported from the original
service provider, and the hardware will be set and ready to use. All the plans and preparations made in the previous
steps will be in effect starting now.

Follow UpAfter your Go Live date, our Jive team will work with you to make any necessary or desired adjustments to your system.
A week after your system goes live, our Jive team will schedule a call with you to follow up on your Jive experience.
Following this call, you will have constant access to Jive’s customer care, technical support, and service account
managers allowing you continual flexibility and support with your Jive system.
