Secret 1: You Are What You Think
Everything began with a thought. Take a look around. The chair you’re sitting in as you read this book, the shoes on your feet, the phone in your hand. They all started as a thought in someone’s mind followed by a series of actions that transformed that idea into its physical form. Think about your own mind. What are the dominant thoughts you have flowing through your consciousness daily? Is your mind full of doubt, anxiety, and inaccurate beliefs about the world that result in you being less than you could be? Or do you bathe in inner peace, self-empowerment, and self- acceptance? Most people live their lives on auto-pilot, blissfully unaware there’s more than one potential reality they could be living if they chose. If you don't like anything about your current life circumstance, you can change it for the better using deliberate thought aligned with deliberate intent, followed by deliberate action. You must start with your thoughts if you want to improve or change yourself in any way. Obviously thinking about something is only one piece of the puzzle. You have to follow those thoughts up with a plan to get what you want, then implement that plan aggressively. Without your thoughts acting as a precursor to action, you’ll find yourself stuck, feeling like you never make any progress. Every human on earth has their own unique model of how they see the world.

While groups of people subscribe to the same ideologies, each has their own unique take on those ideologies. If you ask two people from the same group to describe their personal definition of what they believe you’ll hear two different answers. Who you are right now, as you read this, and where you are in your life, is a cumulation of all your thoughts and decisions up to this moment. This is the universal law of cause and effect. This law isn’t some new age “woo-woo” concept. It's a scientific fact. ____________________________________________________________________________
You must start with your thoughts if you want to improve or change yourself in any way.
____________________________________________________________________________ For every cause, there must be an effect. Apply this principle to your thoughts. If you constantly think thoughts of negativity, distrust, and self-doubt, then overtime your life conditions will reflect those thoughts. Likewise, if your predominant thoughts are growth motivated, forward-facing, and self-loving, your experience of life will be a manifestation of those thoughts. Action Steps:
1. Start to become conscious of your consistent thoughts
2. Identify the thoughts you believe are holding you back
3. Come up with new empowering thoughts you can replace your old thoughts with
4. Everyday rewrite your new thoughts on paper with a blue pen.

Secret 2: Self-Image Determines Destiny
Your self-image determines your success, failure, misery, or happiness. When your self-identity (how you see yourself) aligns with who you want to be, your career prospects, relationships, and sense of inner peace all improve exponentially. Living by your true nature, unashamedly in the world, you attain the freedom that allows you to move away from the herd of social conformity towards your own, unique destiny. A strong self-image is the golden key to your future success. There are two main reasons for this; 1- Every thought, feeling, behavior, and personality trait you have all arise from the same source: Your self-image. Whoever you perceive yourself to be is how you'll live your life. You can read all the books, attend all the workshops and even make yourself a pretty vision board. But unless you see yourself as the type of person you want to be, living the type of life you want to live, you have no choice but to stay where you are, as who you are. Until 'You' change, nothing else will. If you see yourself as a failure, regardless of how nice of a person you are, you will find a way to fail. Your unconscious mind will do whatever it can to stay consistent with your self-identity, even if it has to self-sabotage to do it. Your unconscious mind uses your self-image as a blueprint to follow in order to stay consistent with itself.

When you act from a poor self-image you receive poor results, which then reinforces your poor self-image. If you act from a healthy self-image your results will be much better, and your likelihood of success will increase massively. ____________________________________________________________________________
Until 'You' change, nothing else will. ____________________________________________________________________________ Behavioral feedback loops form, and they become habits. Those habits, repeated over time, make you who you are today. Once you understand this, the importance of a strong self-image as the foundation for everything else in your life becomes clear. 2- Your self-image isn't set in stone, and it can be changed. Regardless of your current life circumstances, you can set in motion an internal transformation that will change your self-perception and your life. The reason you might have tried to make changes in the past but failed is that you focused your efforts externally, rather than going within and doing the work there. Positive thinking about external circumstances isn't enough. Real change takes place from within, so that's where you need to go. As your self-image changes the way you perceive the world around you changes as well. Conditions related to your new self-image start to fall into place almost effortlessly. Why? Because your subconscious mind will do whatever it has to do to stay consistent with your self-identity.

___________________________________________________________________________ Positive thinking about external circumstances isn't enough. Real change takes place from within, so that's where you need to go.
____________________________________________________________________________ Action Steps:
1. Develop a clear mental image of the ideal you. How you think, look, act, speak, everything. Write it down in detail with a blue pen
2. Make a list of the current personality traits you want to discard
3. Identify some new, empowering traits you can adopt for your own personality
4. Choose 3 things to do that are in line with your new improved self-image. Eg if your new self-image is of a person with thriving health sign up with a gym, throw out all the junk food in your cupboard, etc
5. Every day be conscious of your conduct and reconcile it with the new self-image of who you want to be.
Secret 3: Consistency Is the Key Going to the gym once won’t make you healthy for life. Attending one self-development seminar won’t miraculously solve all your problems and make you a millionaire overnight. So what separates people who succeed and master their craft to people who never master anything? Consistency. Obsessive consistency. It’s the only way to succeed at anything. The more times you repeat an action, a thought, or behavior the more you embed that same action thought, and behavior into your neurology. Once you’ve done it enough times it becomes automatic.

What does it take to live your ideal life? It takes self-discipline and commitment. It takes consistency. You’ll encounter so many obstacles on your road to success that if you don’t have a disciplined, consistent mindset you’re virtually guaranteed to NOT succeed. Your life is a reflection of your thoughts and the action you take in response to those thoughts. ____________________________________________________________________________
What does it take to live your ideal life? It takes self-discipline and commitment. It takes consistency.
____________________________________________________________________________ Your level of consistency also reflects your level of commitment. You say you want to be successful but you sleep till noon and spend hours playing video games. You’re not consistent which indicates you haven’t made a real commitment. If you really, really want something you’ll do whatever it takes to get it. You’ll feel a burning desire to do what it takes to get there. Whatever goals or vision you have for your life, be consistent about it.
Secret 4: Ideas Must Be Followed By Action The purpose of taking action is to make your ideas a reality. You can have a great idea and tell everyone about it. They might even agree it’s a great idea and tell you so. You’re excited and motivated and you get started on your great idea. But by the second week, your adrenaline starts to fade.

You realize turning this idea into a reality will be a lot more work than you originally thought. Then tedium kicks in. The idea doesn’t seem so glamorous anymore. You realize that making this happen will take hard work. You might not even see it pay off for a few years, if at all. You start spending less and less time on your project until you realize weeks have gone by and you haven’t touched it. You abandon your idea then move onto the next one. You start chasing your new “shiny object”, but end up by repeating the same pattern as the last idea you had. Your ideas are worthless unless they're followed up with sustained, intelligent, aggressive action. A common challenge for people who want success is maintaining their levels of intensity once an idea moves from conception to hard work. If you’ve ever had a great idea but 6 months passed with no significant progress, you’re not following through. The action doesn’t mean getting excited and fluffing around until you decide it’s too difficult and you give up. Action means you’ve decided what you want and you will not stop until you’ve achieved it. You might adjust your strategy or alter the details of your vision, but you will not stop until you have what you originally set out for, or something better.

__________________________________________________________________________ Your ideas are worthless unless they’re followed up by sustained,
intelligent, aggressive action. __________________________________________________________________________ Anchoring your mindset to successfully take action is a combination of focus, self-discipline, and persistence. Focus keeps your mind honed in on your target and eliminates distractions. Think of your focus like a laser beam. Intense focus makes your actions more effective. Self-discipline is doing what you know you need to do even when you don’t feel like doing it. Once again this comes back to how bad you really want it. Persistence is what will carry you through to the end. Think of success like a marathon, you need to persist, one foot in front of the other until you cross the finish line. When you take action on an idea you’re passionate about and apply your focus, self-discipline, and persistence, there’s not much you can’t achieve for yourself. Action Steps:
1. What ideas and goals do you have for your life? Write them down on paper with a blue pen
2. Choose the top 3 ideas you have and rank them in order of importance
3. Take your number one idea and formulate a plan to get it. What do you
have to do and what needs to happen to make this idea a reality?
4. Once you have your plan write down 3 actions you can take within 24 hours to activate your plan

5. Take the first action, then the second, then the third. Once you’ve done the first 3 actions, repeat the process with the next 3, and so on.
Secret 5: How You Think is a Choice Every day you choose how you show up in the world. Your thoughts, actions, reactions, and intentions all occur because you’ve chosen them over their alternatives. Of course, you don’t analyze every thought and compare it with all your other potential thoughts before you act. If you did that you’d never be able to make a decision. You’ve been conditioned to think and act in a certain way, to a large degree, without your consent. Your programming started the moment you were born and you had very little said in the matter as to what that conditioning would be. But now you're an adult with an independent mind, and you have an alternative. You can choose how you think and you can decide who you wish to be. You have the power, right now as you’re reading these words, to adopt a champion mindset. If you feel your previous thought-conditioning is holding you back from a better life or keeping you stuck in a pattern of self-sabotage, you can make a firm and distinct decision to choose something better for yourself. When you’re living on autopilot, which most people are, you think before you’ve thought about it, act without thinking, and respond the same way to the same things again and again and again. You can choose to become more conscious of your thoughts and recognize when your thoughts and actions are misaligned with who you want to be, and how you want to live.

This transformation is by no means easy nor will the results be instant. But it’s not difficult either, and it’s entirely possible. I know this because I’ve done it myself. I arrived at a point in life where I realized that most of the thoughts and beliefs I held true about myself and the world around me were false. How did I know they were false? Because of my life circumstance that reflected those thoughts and beliefs was a mess. I’d collected these thoughts, beliefs, and reactions unconsciously throughout my life before I knew any better. I had goals and intentions I knew wouldn’t be possible if I didn’t shed my old mindset and replace it with a new one. I literally rebuilt myself from the inside out, starting with my mindset. Everything else flowed from there. ____________________________________________________________________________ You have the power, right now as you’re reading these words, to adopt a
champion mindset. ____________________________________________________________________________ The work is never done. You’ll repeat this process throughout your life as you aim higher and demand more from yourself with every step up the ladder. When you begin to improve your mindset you start to see things differently. You respond to events around you more effectively, and you notice the thoughts you used to have now seemed unappealing and redundant. All that’s required is that you decide, commit, and follow-through. The rest will take care of itself. Following the information in this guide and completing the action steps in each chapter has the power to change your life if you put real thought into them and complete them properly.

If you can't do that then maybe you’re not ready for the success you say you want. If you're reading this book that's probably not true, but only you know the answer. Once again, it’s your choice. And only you can make the decision. Think & Live Well, Alek.
