5.How did you attract/address

your audience?

One of the first ways I attracted my audience was to

analyses the statistics on the pearl and dean website

when looking at compatible films. The data is divided

by age, gender and social demographic. By

analyzing this information it was a lot easier to target

who my audience would be.

I deliberately chose a young woman as the main

protagonist, because I felt that women would be

more likely to empathize with her plight.

Over the last few years, there have been several

high profile disappearance stories in the media, for

example Madeline McCain went missing in Portugal

when on holiday with her parents and the search is

still ongoing as to whether she would be finding alive

or dead.

I don’t think my film exploits this situation, but rather

it tries to examine what it’s like to lose someone you

love and then to be told there’s no hope of finding

them again.
