1 Minute Commercial Video Project Mr. Williams Boulan Park Middle School November 2011 Assignment Details You are to plan and shoot a 1-minute advertisement for a common school or home item such as pencils, soda, food etc. The ad should appeal to a specific audience; e.g. students, parents, teachers (your storyboard will specify which). You will have limited time to execute your shooting plan, so be prepared. Objective 1. Design a digital story in the form of a television commercial. 2. Create storyboards within a team setting including shot analysis. 3. Produce a video of high production value with rotating job duties. Requirements The TOTAL video spot must be between 60 and 90 seconds. You should be using titles and/or illustrations. These can be done in advance using iMovie, iPhoto, Photoshop or Powerpoint. The total shoot should occur without interrupting any ongoing classes unless you obtain the teacher’s permission in advance. For example, you might want to produce a video that says, “Everyone in Ms. Johnson’s class uses Ace pencils!” Consider the type of ad you want to make: testimonial, authority, etc. A storyboard must be developed. You will use the sheets passed out in class to develop your story. THESE MUST BE TURNED IN PRIOR TO SHOOTING! BE CREATIVE!! 5 seconds of black at beginning and end with logo and credits.
