9:00 am Banking in the Age of Turbulence: Challenges and Opportunities forLeadershipThomas H. Payne, PhD, Dunagan Chair of Excellence in Finance and International Business, Uni-versity of Tennessee at Martin, Martin, TN
Global economic forces and US government policies are having an historic effect on community banks and their customers. This practical session will address the opportunities and risks facing our nation and the financial services industry in 2010. Now you can throw away the textbooks, because everything you knew about banking and business in America has changed! Global competition has shifted the economic landscape, and, for better or worse, we have seen only the beginning of sweep-ing regulatory reform. Payne will provide current and future bank leaders with a strategic roadmap for success. He will take participants inside the Federal Reserve and provide practical information on interest rates, global competition, regulation, and economic growth in 2010 and beyond. You will not want to miss this enjoyable and informative presentation on how to manage risk and grow profits in today’s turbulent global economy.Sponsored by Crowe Horwath, LLP, Brentwood, TN
