Glowing Star

By: Avanya

Inspired by Mr. William Carlos Williams

So much depends on a Glowing Star

Shining in the

Night sky

filled with hopes

filled with dreams

filled with secrets

when

did you last

Wish and talk to a Glowing Star?

A knight was sent on a flight that might

not be in sight because there was a

blanket of nigh knight

Beautiful Blue

By Bailey

Blue is the color of the morning sky

And the blue birds flying by.

Blue is the color of the beautiful ocean

Blue is the color of the dolphins jumping

Blue is the color of the kid’s beach hats

When they splash in the ocean.

Beautiful Blue,

Coming after you.

Hopes and Dreams

By: Diya

The balloons

Blow up,

You hold on,

Pop,

Pop,

Popping,

A few,

Stay with you,

Forever,

And

Ever

By: Ethan

There was a boy in the rain

Feeling so much in pain

He’s tired and it was such a shame

He heard his friends would call him lame

So bad so unlucky

As if he were a ducky

But there is tomorrow

With now more sorrow

I hate that cat

Like he loves to scratch

I said I hate that cat

Like he loves to scratch

I hate running in the Moring

I hate running in the afternoon

I love to call him hey there devil

Ocean

By Kate

Miles of miles of ocean water,

Tons of waves you face everywhere

Wave after wave cashes on you

As life floats around you

In the miles of miles of ocean water

Wavy wavy ocean

Wavy wavy ocean

The arrow waits while

The bow aims for the

Centre

The bow fires

The arrow flies

It hit the centre.

Rain drops

By: Kilani Daane

Drip, drip drop, drop

Rain drops falling from the sky.

Landing on the ground with a little plop.

Kids play-play-playing in the dripping dropping rain.

Ocean

By: Kristi

Clear Ocean

Dolphins jumping with joy

Whales sprout sprout sprouting

Sharks eat eat eating

Waves crash crash crashing

Children splashing

Four Leafed Clover

By: Libby

I found one

And it found me

A beautiful four leafed clover

I will put in

The pressing machine

So it will not wilt

Now you are hanging

In a picture frame

Bordered with rosemary

And a satin bow around your stem

My beautiful four leafed clover

Hands

By: Maddie

So much,

You see

Goes on with your hands

They flick

They kick

And even stand

They write and draw and most of all

They help you when you’re stuck

Whether it’s on counting

Or you’re in a rock

They’re there for you no matter what!

Running with My Dog

By: RYU MORITA

Run! Run!

Run my dog!

Fast as lightning!

Fast as the wind!

Run with me!

Dash with me!

Like the lightning

Like the wind!

Run! Run!

Run my dog!

The Blue Hat

By: Se Young

(Inspired by Mr. William Carlos)

So much depends

Upon

The blue hat

On my head

Sitting there

Like a

Quiet little girl

Waiting for

Her mother

To arrive

By Shane

Fun.

Helpful.

Interactive.

Cookie

By: Tess

Can I have one?

It’s so big

One bite

Two bites

Three bites

Four bites

Five bites

I’m bored

Writing this poem,

There’s nothing

Else to do,

I want to

Draw a

Poem

But I’m not

Supposed

To.

Plow a Tree

Plow a tree!

Plow a tree

It rhymes

With poetry!
