What is 4G / LTE• LTE is the next generation technology from 3G/WCDMA & HSPA.

• Optimized to deliver very fast data speeds of up to 300Mb/s downlink and 80Mb/s uplink (3GPP rel.8)

• The terminals speeds up to 100Mb/s in downlink but the next generation terminals UE Cat-4 will be able to handle speeds up to 150Mb/s in downlink.

• It is designed with MIMO (Multiple In Multiple Out) in combination with OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) in the downlink

• Single Carrier FDMA in the uplink to provide high levels of spectral efficiency resulting in high end user data speeds.

• Coupled with major improvements in capacity and reduced latency gives the end used a superb online experience.

• The Transmission Time Interval (TTI) is lowered to 1ms compared to 2 – 10 ms in 3G which will result in a latency of 10-15 ms for LTE compared to 30 – 120 ms for 3G.
