Fundations: 10 minutes1) Drill-Sound Warmup - Assigned on Seesaw or have students look at

each Sound Card below. Students should practice saying each sound. Example- a-n-g, fang, /ang/

2.) Long Vowel -O - Assigned on Seesaw or have students write the long -o words to represent the pictures. Complete the sentences using the same words. (all words are o-e words)

2.) Long Vowels Game- Assigned on Seesaw or have students play a game with someone at home. Each player chooses a color. Players take turns reading the word and marking their space. The first to get 4 in a row wins! Try to block the other player.

Next, using the “Organizing My Opinion” template, write whether or not you think the pigeon should drive the bus and why. (I think the pigeon should/should not drive the bus because...).

Remember to include your opinion, three reasons and details, and a conclusion. Finally, check your work for completion and accuracy before submitting. Please remember to use your word wall to assist with spelling!

Math: 30 minutes1) 10-6: Make a 10 to add – Assigned on Seesaw.

Today, you will be learning about how to add make a new 10 when adding 10s and 1. This information is detailed in the 4 boxes along the top of image A below. Then, in your Fundations Journal, please complete #3, #4, #5, & #6 from image B below. In #3 & #4, you should model the math for each equation with 10s and 1s, decide if a new 10 can be made, and add to find the sum. In #5 & #6, you should model the math for each equation with 10s and 1s, decide if a new 10 can be made, write the equation and add to find the sum. Looking for a challenge… try #7 & #8, as well!
