Today, you will be learning about how to add make a new 10 when adding 10s and 1. This information is detailed in the 4 boxes along the top of image A below. Then, in your Fundations Journal, please complete #3, #4, #5, & #6 from image B below. In #3 & #4, you should model the math for each equation with 10s and 1s, decide if a new 10 can be made, and add to find the sum. In #5 & #6, you should model the math for each equation with 10s and 1s, decide if a new 10 can be made, write the equation and add to find the sum. Looking for a challenge… try #7 & #8, as well!
