Amsterdam-based, New York-minded
communications agency
Meet45 Orchard.
We’re an Amsterdam -based communications agency, specializing
in content strategy, branded content, press positioning and social
media strategy. English is our native language, and we fawn over
brands that have great stories to tell. Figuring out the best way
to tell that story - on which channels, in what tone/voice and to
which audiences- gets us out of bed each morning. From startups
to brand refinements to rebrands, we take on projects of all
scopes and sizes.
We’ve strategized and developed content for a two-person fine
art and social good startup, 10,000 -employee multinational travel
technology company, 60 -property boutique hotel chain and
tricontinental digital marketing agency, among others.
Our projects have a common thread: We deliver cohesive,
on -brand messaging that speaks directly to the consumer on the
most relevant channels.
WHAT WE
HAVE TO
OFFER
C O N T E N T S T R AT E GY
Build a strategic course of action when presenting your brand across multiple
channels. Determine the tone and voice that best speaks to your target
audiences and the appropriate channels on which to connect with them.
We develop brand strategies from scratch, complete with the requisite
guiding light statements that steer positioning. And, we refine existing
communications to reflect your brand’s voice and goals.

Say what you mean to say. 45 Orchard humanizes brand stories through
smart, thoughtful writing. Our exceptional copy speaks directly to the reader
without gimmicks, inauthenticity or overly promotional language. We value
succinctness and clarity in every compelling message.

Behind every strong piece of content is a talented editor. We turn poorly
translated documents into rich reads and correct spotty grammar.
From quick projects to large -scale reworking of materials, we take on edits
of all sizes.

Following a Rule of Three, we hone in on your overall objectives to strategically
position your brand for earned media success. Our targeted messaging
helps you reach your audience and your goals across both traditional and
nontraditional media. Building media lists, drafting press materials, scheduling
outreach, following up and hitting targets are our bread and butter.

Get talked about. Post engaging content that speaks to your followers on a
regular basis with a carefully crafted social media strategy. We create big
picture strategies for content delivery on specific platforms. Use the most
relevant channels to reach your target audience.
She started her career planning events at Ace Hotel and the adjoining
Michelin -starred restaurant group in New York City. Here, she collaborated
with Opening Ceremony for a K-pop -themed Fashion’s Night Out party, liaised
with the hotel’s in- house creative agency Atelier Ace, managed multiple photo
shoots, partnered with lifestyle brands, planned a New Year’s Eve party with
Andy Rourke as the headliner DJ and butchered a whole roasted suckling pig
for a table of hungry diners.
New Yorker -turned -Amsterdammer Katherine Brooks founded
45 Orchard to deliver native English content strategy, copywriting
and social media strategy to international audiences.
Meet the founder
In her next role on the marketing team at Kimpton Hotels, Katherine ran the
social media channels, writing for marketing materials and on -site public relations
initiatives. She also managed brand partnerships with Ted Talks, Public Bikes,
Madison Square Garden, Norwegian Cruise Line, I Love NY and others. Once
a month, you could find her doling out unsolicited (but enthusiastic!) NYC dining
recommendations while pouring big glasses of vino for guests at Kimpton’s
famous Wine Hour.
Today, she rides her bike to her office in the center of Amsterdam. Katherine
named 45 Orchard after her former address on the Lower East Side, which is
sandwiched between an avant -garde art gallery, independent jewelry atelier
and a surf- themed espresso bar.
After 5 years, highly acclaimed wedding photographer KT Merry
required a top -to- bottom brand refinement for her eponymous business.
KT sought copy that speaks to her target audience and reflects her
brand, which she defines as elegant, artful and worldly.
Here’s how we helped:
• Outlined tone/voice keywords that best describe KT Merry’s style
• Reviewed the demographic of the target couple
• Reworked “About Me” section to express KT’s style, interests and background
• Revised all website sections to reflect new tone
• Wrote Team, Travel and Creative Process sections to provide transparency
• Rewrote FAQs to be succinct and on brand

Render Loyalty is a Miami -based startup that marries fine art photography and
social good. A passion project from the Founder, Render Loyalty champions
endangered species preservation by raising awareness and providing a financial
donation for each print sold.
What we did:
• Developed content strategy from scratch, including mission and positioning statements,
tone/voice guidelines, definition of the brand and key written components.
• Wrote boilerplate messaging for use on the website, in a pitch deck or media kit, on social media
channels and for landing page.
RENDER LOYALTY
Multinational online travel technology company Booking.com is making a
large recruitment push into North America. Rewriting materials to deliver the
Booking.com voice in an appealing way was the first priority in attracting top
talent. The Employer Branding team recognized multiple communications
touchpoints that required attention. Here’s how we achieved the goals of
injecting playfulness, transparency of values, accessibility and fun:
S T E P 1
Rewrote over 45 job application templates for
each stage of the online application process.
All of the templates needed to reflect the
new voice.

Each week, WorkingAtBooking.com shares
an employee-written post on the new blog.
We edit and rework each post before it goes
live.
S T E P 2
We analyzed statistics on what drives potential
candidates to submit applications, and
reformatted the job description layout to deliver
only relevant information that job seekers use
to make decisions.
Additionally, we developed:
