RCIA (The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is designed for non-Catholics and offers a process that allows seekers to examine the Catholic Faith more closely. Each fall we continue with sessions in which participants ask questions, explore Catholic teachings, and discover what it means to be a Catholic Christian. Discussions about our worship, traditions, structure and beliefs are included. Some people come to this class only to gain more understanding of the Catholic religion. Others come with the intention of becoming a member of the Church. It is important to us that people feel free to attend whether they decide to become Catholic or not. Contact Theresa Paul at the Faith Formation Office, [email protected], for more information. Sessions begin Wednesday, September 19. 6:30-8 pm in the Holy Family Room

Children’s Faith Formation

Faith Formation classes for preschool – sixth grade begin on September 16. Register online at www.sacredheartpullman.org/youth-enrichment or pick up a registration form in the parish library. Are you ready for a great experience? Can you tell stories? Do you work well with others; particularly children? Need an excuse to pray? Available Sunday mornings? If you answered yes to one or more, you can be a catechist. Contact Theresa Paul soon, at [email protected].

Do you want to be a more effective peace-maker in our world today? Cultivating Nonviolence, Harvesting Peace is an 8-week program offered at Sacred Heart that explores historical, biblical, and theological perspectives on non-violence and ways to take faithful action. Participants will meet weekly from 6:30 to 9 pm beginning Tuesday, September 25. To register or for more information, contact Bill Engels at [email protected], 509-334-7622 or Theresa Paul at [email protected], 509-332-4402.

Please note that the time for the Sacrament of Reconciliation at Sacred Heart has been extended to a full hour. Confessions are now heard from 3 pm to 4 pm each Saturday in the church.
