FEATURESBalanced Scroll Design thatincreases recovery capacity.High Centrifugal Force generatescentrifugal force of 500 Gs at itsoperating speed of 1,600 RPM whileprocessing up to 140 GPM.Efficient Operation processes up to140 GPM with a 6- to 10-micron cuton weighted mud systems; processesup to 250 gpm with a 5- to 7-microncut point on unweighted mud.Stainless Steel bowl, scroll compart-ment and cover to resist corrosionand abrasion. Tungsten Carbide Scroll Pointswith wide spacing flights at the narrow end create a finer layer ofconveyed solids for more uniformseparation under high G forces.
Precision Balanced to run at highRPMs for extended periods withgreater efficiency, minimizingmaintenance and downtime.Operating Safety Controls includeself-limiting vibration and torqueswitches to protect against cata-strophic failure.Engineered and Manufactured to established ISO 9001 standards.Variable Speed electro-hydraulicbackdrive is available as an optionfor the 414 Centrifuge.
The SWACO 414 Centrifuge delivers high performance and lowoperating costs for oilfield and industrial mud and fluidshandling applications. This highly efficient decanting cen-trifuge recovers 95% of barite and returns it to the active sys-tem, while rejecting finer, low-gravity solids. The advanceddesign of the stainless steel bowl and scroll maintains aneven layer of conveyed solids for more uniform separationand maximum solids control efficiency.

BENEFITS
FIELD-PROVEN RESULTS
Recovers 95% of barite, minimiz-ing costly additions while main-taining prescribed mud weights
Rejects finer, low gravity solidsfrom drilling fluids
Cost-efficient operation reducesdiscard volume versus dilution dis-placement alternatives 30% to 60%depending upon mud weights
Ideal for use with weighted orunweighted mud systems
Rugged construction and corrosion-resistant materials provide longservice life and low maintenancecosts in the toughest oilfield environments
Field test comparisons prove theSWACO 414 Centrifuge reduces discardvolume 30% to 60% (depending onmud weight) versus dilution/displace-ment alternatives. At higher mudweights, it reduces discard volume up to 45%.

HOW IT WORKSThe heart of a SWACO Centrifuge isits high-speed, precision-balancedrotating stainless steel bowl. Insidethe bowl, a double lead spiral screwconveyor rotates in the same direc-tion as the bowl but at a slightlyslower RPM.
Feed slurry enters through a hol-low axle at the narrow end and is
distributed to the bowl. Centrifugalforce as high as 500 Gs at 1,600 RPMholds the slurry against the bowl wallin a pool. Trapped silt and sand-sized particles settle and spreadagainst the bowl wall where they arescraped and conveyed to the solidsunderflow discharge ports by thetungsten carbide-tipped scroll flights.Silt and sand particles exit damp, butwith no free liquid. The free liquidphase carries colloidal (clay sized) particles through the nonpluggingstainless steel and tungsten carbidehardfaced discharge ports. Wide spac-ing of the scroll flights at the narrowend of the centrifuge increase thebarite recovery capacity up to 95%,maximizing solids control efficiency.
