PRE-AP Algebra I(Choose GT math on Course Request)
• Prerequisite: Successful completion of 7th grade Pre-Ap Math or GT Math, achieved MEETS level on the 7th grade STAAR math, and/or by teacher recommendation.
• Students will be required to pass the Algebra EOC to receive high school credit.
• Students earn 1 high school credit (for successful completion)
• Grade is included in high school GPA
• Course content & workload are the equivalent of a high school course.
• Course includes extensive outside-of-class preparation

Athletics
Sports Physical: A complete physical is required each year for all students entering Athletics.
Physical must be completed after May 1, 2019 for the 2020 school year.
Completed sports physical paperwork should be given to the students’ coach by May 20, 2019. No exceptions.
Sports physical forms and information may be located on the Sherman ISD website.

Go to the Piner Middle School Home Page and select Course Selection Guide from Academics drop down list
From the Sherman ISD home page choose Piner Middle School from the “Select a School” drop down list.
From the Piner Middle School home page, choose “Course Selection Guide” from the Academics drop down list. It will also
be listed under Parents and Students
To change the language to click here and then choose your language from the drop down list.
You will then scroll through the guide by using this slider.
Course Registrations are due in to your student’s Social Studies Teacher on Tuesday, January 22nd.
** Please be sure that your signature and date as well as your student’s signature and date are on the completed form.
