The Advantages of Using Top Drive

* The complete system including the top drive, torque system and power unit can be installed in less than one day. In most cases, no rig modifications are necessary.

* The HCI offers an expanded suite of pipe-handling functions including elevator link-tilt, and extend/retract feature for making mousehole connections (maximum extension 60 in.), 360° pipe-handler rotation, and grabber. The HCI grabber acts as a back-up tong for making or breaking connections and will accommodate tool joints from 3 in. to 8-3/4 in. OD.

* Tesco’s unique quill design allows rapid field removal for inspection or replacement without draining the gear case.

* The HCI is equipped with an independent diesel engine or traction motor.

* A double ball mud saver/safety valve is incorporated into the system design.

* The speed/torque ranges are selectable from the driller’s console.

* The HCI track/torque bushing configuration is simple to install and requires minimal maintenance.

* The entire HCI can be transported in three standard 20 ft. sea containers.

Top Drive Notes: Weight includes top drive, pipe handler and torque bushing. The HCI can also be equipped with optional 500 or 650 ton integrated swivel. The top drive can be fitted with an optional 2.33:1 gear ratio. Smaller critical dimensions are possible in some configurations – detailed rig measurement required.

Rigs Roda Drilling Nusantara (RDN) is a global land drilling contractor, the Company conducts oil, gas and geothermal land drilling operations in Indonesia. Roda Drilling Nusantara (RDN) is a provider of offshore platform workover and drilling rigs, and actively markets 4 (four) platform rigs and 2 (two) top drives located in Indonesia. Today Roda Drilling Nusantara (RDN) offers the widest range and variety of Rigs systems in the world, providing you with the best selection of models to fit your specific drilling and work over needs.

Our Rigs are all made in united states and are mostly build circa 1980 - 1985. Our Rigs were owned and operated by PT Daya Alam Teknik Indonesia (DATI) up intil 1999 before it was taken by Roda Drilling Nusantara (RDN) completely on 2007.

To this day, RDN oil rigs had lready been used at various location on Pertamina and PSC oil

and gas field throughout Indonesia.

Solids Control/Mud Handling

Nine x 120 bbl mud pits covered with steel roof sections and serrated grating walkways, stairs and railings. Three 5” x 6” Mud Mixing and supercharging pumps driven by “CAT” disel power coupled to a distribution manifold for multi function use. One 55 bbl trip tank. Three derrick High Speed flow line cleaners Demco 12’ x 3 cone desander, 5x6 pump, diesel powered. Oiltools 4’ x 16 cone desilter, 5x6 pump, diesel powered. Seven Brand MA - 10 agitators

Blowout Prevention Equipment Shaffer 21 1/4” - 2m annular preventer with accessories for a diverter system. Shaffer 13 5/8” - 5m annular preventer with three shaffer single ram BOP’s with hub connections. Drilling Spools, adapter spools, valves and choke manifold to suit above BOPE and pressure ratings.

Accumulator Unit Koomey Model T15240 - 3S, 5 Station 3000 psi ratings complete with air operated GARC5 remote control station located at drillers position. Includes 15 HP triplex charging pump, two air operated pmps and a 20 bottle manifold.

Mud Pumps Three (3) 700 HP OIME triplex mud pumps, independent drive w/2 each KTA 1150 cummins engines through Allison 6061 transmissions. One (1) 700 HP OIME triplex pump, compound driven Charging Pumps : 3 only 5” x 6” Magnum series each driven by a cat D3304 diesel motor. Liner Size available.
