Many issues of teaching community werediscussed in the meeting which include fromentering the service record of the teachers touneven distribution of grant of RReTs.
In his address Surjeet Singh said,"Teaching community is already on the vergeof starvation as there is no salary for RReTs,Head Teachers under SSA for the last six
months adding in his last meeting with theDSEJ the issue of the post facto permissionof the teaching community was solved butfull implementation has to been done by con-cerned authorities.
Roopa Sambyal said, "Women are very shyand that's why they suffer most in the officesfor the redressal of their problems and it isher duty as Distt President to get their workdone. She said they should come forward fortheir rights."

STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: To finalise allnecessary arrangements forthe smooth conduct of forth-coming Budha AmarnathAnnual Yatra to MandiBudha Amarnath , DeputyCommissioner Poonch, TariqAhamad Zargar onWednesday convened a meet-ing of concerned district offi-cers, trustees of BudhaAmarnath Shrine, prominentcitizens, Muslim religiousclerics and social activists atconference hall of DC's officePoonch.
The Deputy Commissionerat the outset enquired andtook detail review of deci-sions taken in last meetingregarding the necessaryarrangements which are tobe made for smooth conductof ten days long Yatra com-mencing from 28 July thisyears. Apart from makingfoolproof security arrange-ments and maintaining com-munal harmony , issues per-taining to availability ofessentials services like unin-terrupted power supply ,
drinking water facilities,availability of LPG cylindersbesides medicare facilities,sanitation and accommoda-tion were discussed at themeeting.
The Deputy Commissionerdirected the officers to makeelaborate arrangements forreception of the pilgrims. Heasked SSP Poonch to makeliaison with other securityagencies and hold separatemeeting with them if neces-sary for tight securityarrangements enroute fromBimer Gali (BG) to BudhaAmarnath, Mandi. The con-cerned officers were directedto redress others issues likeaccommodation and trafficregulation for smooth move-ment of the Yatris.
Tariq Zargar also instruct-ed the EO, MunicipalCouncil to maintain cleanli-ness and lightening facilitiesat Langar sites and aroundthe places where Yatris willstay so that they do not faceany inconvenience. The Fireand Emergency Departmentwas also directed to set up
fire tenders at all the haltingstations enroute the HolyShrine. Health authoritieswere asked to establish med-ical camps near the Shrineand also keep standby ambu-lances at strategic locations.Instructions were passed tothe BRO authorities to expe-dite the resurfacing and formaintenance of damagedroad stretches .
It was decided in the meet-ing that under the overallsupervision of the DeputyCommissioner, a Yatra offi-cer to be nominated soonshall coordinate with otherconcerned agencies anddepartments and supervisenecessary arrangements atHoly Shrine BudhaAmarnath . It was also decid-ed a committee of officersand prominent citizens willbe constituted to coordinateand facilitate smooth con-duct of Yatra.

Eight injured as taxi skids-offSTATE TIMES NEWS
DODA: Eight persons were injured when the sumo in whichthey were traveling in met with an accident near Daraie vil-lage in Bhalessa area of District Doda on Gandoh -ChenwariLink Road, on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police sources, a Tata Sumo (JK 06 - 6296)on its way from Gandoh to village Chenwari, skidded off theroad and fell into a gorge at Daraie resulting in injuries toeight persons.
SDPO Gandoh Sunny Gupta said that after getting infor-mation, police team rushed to the spot and along with localsstarted rescue operation and shifted all the injured persons toSub District Hospital Gandoh, where they are responding tothe treatment, when reports last came in. "A case in thisregard has been registered at Police Station Gandoh andinvestigation started," Gupta added.

POONCH: Police on Wednesday busted a fake driving licenceracket and arrested a shopkeeper at Poonch.
As per the details, a party of Police Station Poonch headedby DySp Hqtrs Shaheed Naeem on a specific informationraided a computer shop at Bus Stand Poonch and apprehend-ed the owner of the shop identified as Yaser Irfan son of AbdulKhaliq resident of Nabna at present staying at Bus StandPoonch and recovered fake driving licences and other drivingrelated documents from his possession.
A FIR No 95/2017 case under section 420, 467, 468 RPCwas registered at Police Station Poonch against the owner ofthe computer shop for possessing and preparing fake travelrelated documents.
The investigation of the case has been taken up and somemore arrests and recoveries of fake driving licences and trav-el related documents are expected.

DODA: Police on Wednesday arrested a woman and recovered5 litres of illicit (Desi) liquor from her house.
As per the details, on a specific information a party of PoliceStation Doda headed by SHO Doda Inspector Ragubir Singhraided the house of Lalita Devi wife of Angrez Singh residentof Sherkhand Bhagwah, recovered five litres of Illicit (Desi)liquor and seized the still and other apparatus used for distil-lation of the beverage from the house accused woman.
A case vide FIR No 142/2017 under section 48-E ExciseAct. was registered at Police Station Doda, accused womanhas been arrested and further investigation is going on.

UDHAMPUR: An unidentified body of a young woman wasfound in bushes at village Paldai during wee hours in TehsilMajlata in mysterious circumstances.
According to a report, Majlata Police recovered a body of anunidentified woman lying at village Paldai in Tehsil Majlata ofdistrict Udhampur, shifted it to PHC Majlata and kept inmortuary for identification. However Majlata Police regis-tered a case and launched the investigation under 174 Cr. PC.for investigation.

Old woman knocked down to death STATE TIMES NEWS
DODA: An old-age woman was crushed to death by a speed-ing scooty at Sanai, Bhalla area of District Doda onWednesday. According to reports, A speeding scooty (with-out registration number) hit an old-age woman at Sanie, areaof Bhalla Tehsil. After getting information police immediate-ly rushed to the spot and shifted the woman to nearby hospi-tal where doctors declared her as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Thakri Devi (65) wifeof Prithvi Raj resident of Sanie Bhalla. Police registered acase in this regard and also seized the vehicle. However driv-er/owner of the scooter fled from the spot.
