4. REDEMPTIVE GIFTS:

The Gift of the Giver (﴾With acknowledgement to Arthur Burk)﴿

The Behavioural Markers & Core Identity of a Giver

o Versatile, flexible, adaptable, diversity of interests, involved in diverse projects.

Most difficult gift to peg by behavioural characteristics alone. Relates to wide range of people.

o Generational worldview – not only concerned with own life, but intentionally

prepares the way for family and generations after them

o Brings life to surroundings. Authority to detect, bring forth and nurture new birth or new beginnings in projects, ministries or movements through intercession. Authority to protect and guard early stages.

o Deeply committed to family, even to point of jealousy and excluding outsiders. If immature, shallow connections outside family

o Gives wisely and gives well. Will give only when ready to give, cannot be

manipulated. Don’t like to give to the poor, or for start up capital, but gives generously to other good causes or ministries. Battlefield is stewardship: Have to learn to be risk takers and give in faith in times of famine, and guard against excess or indulgence in times of abundance.

o Money flows to them naturally. Favour to locate opportunities and resources.

Redefines situations and ceases available opportunities.

o Designed by God to be independent, not to be manipulated or controlled by others. No welfare spirit, needs no one. Has to be tested to learn to rely on God,

not only on extended family, abilities and own resources. If mature, has strong relationship with God, trusts Him for safety and security. No more fear or striving, compare Jacob.

o Casual with God’s absolutes, with holiness and worship. Not pursuing

righteousness. Compare Abel, own perception of worship and expects God to accept it. Birthright of Giver is to become a friend of God.

o Non-‐confrontational, can sustain tense relationships or ideological tension,

without bringing them to closure [unlike Prophet.] Peace maker. Doesn’t like to do battle or spiritual warfare. Finds other options

o Heart for evangelism, will give resources, but generally do not do final ‘fruit

picking’.

o Gift of hospitality, open doors, never locks anything. Loves dining, cuisine, entertaining and spoiling family or guests, exquisite meals.

Examples of the Giver

Individuals in Scripture:

o Abraham o Jacob o Job o Matthew

Nations:

o South Africa o Israel o Japan o Armenia

The Giver Redemptive Gift is Associated with:

Day #5 of creation – Be fruitful and multiply. First t ime life in the

blood.

God created birds and sea creatures on Day 5. First time blood was flowing through veins. LIFE was in the BLOOD. First time God blessed anything! He blessed the life that

was in the blood. He blessed it to multiply, generation after generation. Note the importance of blessing, and particularly generational blessing.

Furniture item #5 in tabernacle – Altar of incense

The altar of incense was in front of the Holy of Holies. It represented worship and intercession, flowing from a life of intimacy with God. Abraham was Giver R.G. He was called the ‘friend’ of God. He demonstrated true worship ... willing to sacrifice his son Isaac.

The Birth Right of the Giver Redemptive Gift

o To accrue and release life-‐giving generational blessings into family line o To produce life-‐giving systems through holiness and intimacy with God

The Application of the Giver Redemptive Gift

o Intercede for new projects, programmes, ministries, movements. Anointed to

nurture new life, new beginnings. Intercede for SA UNITE, especially in its early stages. Protect and guard new life in intercession

o Intentionally get involved in prayer and intercession activities. Pray in tongues

as often as possible. Learn about travailing in the Spirit, and how to birth things from heaven into the earth. Yield yourself as an instrument (﴾‘womb’)﴿ for God. [Men, this is for you too!]

o As a life-‐giver, bless your natural family and their offspring, bless your spiritual

family and their offspring. Bless everyone you come across ... bless them with the power of blessing that has been locked up in you. Bless the life in them to multiply into future generations, just as God blessed life in the birds and fish to multiply in generations to come. Bless them with wealth and prosperity, multiplying into future generations.

o Declare and decree blessings and life over newborn babies, over little ones, over

children wherever you go. Declare and decree life, growth, expansion, prosperity over businesses, ministries, cities, nations. Together with the Ruler R.G., you have been endowed with exceptional anointing to be life-‐giving and to bless generationally.

SA Unite in Christ: 4. Redemptive Gifts – The Giver

o Pursue righteousness. Pursue holiness with all your heart. Worship God, and enter into His Presence on a regular basis.

o Intentionally put your trust in God and depend on Him for your security,

provision, and safety. Learn to rely on Him as a way of life, not on your own extended family, resources or abilities. Accrue capital and wealth, not only for your own posterity, but to expand the Kingdom of God on the earth. In dependency upon God, decide which projects or business opportunities to finance or to start yourself. Let your choices flow from your personal relationship with Him.

o In times of abundance, inquire of God regarding giving, sowing, investment,

expenditures, activities and even leisure times. Learn to be a good steward of ALL the resources He has entrusted to you, not just some portion of it. In times of lack, obey, step out in faith (﴾be a risk-‐taker)﴿, continue to give as He directs. Isaac sowed in times of famine, and received a hundredfold that same year. Faithful Kingdom steward is who you are called to be.

o With your anointing for hospitality, open your heart, your home, your store,

your table -‐ not only to family members, but also to those outside of your family circle. Bless them with life, resources, and impart to them multiplied fruitfulness into future generations.

o Finance Kingdom individuals, projects, ministries, movements and businesses.

Provide resources for building and establishing Kingdom ventures. Sponsor outreaches, revival meetings, training of leaders, etc. Support SA UNITE financially.

o Impart generational blessings of favour and wealth to all those you come into

contact with. Bless South Africa, our rainbow nation with all its diversity and gifting. Bless this nation with blessings of wealth and favour, bless her to mature into being a faithful steward of God’s riches and wealth, which when accrued will perpetuate for generations.

We bless you, Giver Redemptive Gift in the body of Christ Jesus.
