・All the steel materials described in this catalog are killed steel.
・If you are requesting higher toughness for purchased steel products, please consult with us and specify additional
conditions on Charpy absorbed energy etc. as special order at purchase contract.
・In the case of a wide H beam used for members with large loads and spans, after consulting with us, additional
conditions on crystal grain size, Charpy absorbed energy, etc. are specified as special orders at the time of
purchase contract it is desirable.
・When steel is welded, there is a danger of cold cracking in the welded part as the thickness of the product
increases and the strength increases. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt a welding method suitable for the
characteristics of the steel material and purpose of use. The steel materials described in this catalog do not
guarantee unlimited compatibility for all different welding methods. The reason for this is that the behavior of the
steel material during welding and after welding does not only depend on the base material characteristics but
also because it is affected by the processing conditions, use conditions, dimensions, shape, etc. of the part.
・SHN355 has specified upper limit values for yield point and yield ratio with the aim of yielding at a given stress
and securing deformation performance after yield. Therefore, we recommend purchasing SHN355 rather than
SM355A for applications that exploit deformation capacity in the plastic region of steel material.
・In addition, if there is a demand for performance other than the specified value stated in this catalog, please
consult our company.
